She was a library-no not old, creaky and filled with dust. She was a library. She was that book smell that made me feel at home and exciting stories with hidden secrets, she reminded me of light filtering through a window and showing a hidden book in just the right place. Because she's a story, one that was new everytime that I never knew I needed but never got tired of reading.

First day of inktober done! I'll upload later, there only wips but if I added detail I would've died. I've decided to do a language of thorns inktober because I'm weak and love this book so this is the start I guess

Headcanon that each of the crows have one or two shops or restaurants that they love and will refuse to steal from. Sometimes money will randomly show up in a little shop that Kaz frequents, or the bartender notices that there’s a little more in the tip jar right after Matthias leaves, or donations from an unknown donor are randomly given to a little instrument shop. No one dares fuck with these shops. Because everyone knows Kaz will come and skin anyone alive who dares to mess with them

the crows as kids i encountered at nursery today:

(all these kids are between 2 and 3 years old)

kaz: the 2yo who took off her boots, put her socks neatly inside them, and wore a pair of flip-flops she stole from another kid even though they were 2x the size of her feet. inej: the kid who climbed into the oven of the play kitchen. i still don’t know how he fit. he also took the sink out of the kitchen set and tried to climb through the resulting hole nina: the kid who set up a pizza picnic complete with plates, cups, bowls, silverware, and plastic pizza slices, and then pestered everyone to join her. she also flirted with my only male coworker the whole time jesper: the kid who wouldn’t stop dancing/jumping even when he almost fell off a chair twice and hit his head when he went searching (dancing) for a goldfish cracker under the table wylan: the kid who plopped down in the grass in the middle of a game of tag to gently appreciate a dandelion matthias: the kid who never talked except when he walked outside, said “it’s too hot”, and walked back inside (it wasn’t even hot) kuwei: the kid who took off his shoes and pretended to microwave them in the play kitchen
