life is so much better when you look at everything with joy and whimsy and like 1000% more empathy. i love every color and i love food and i don't care about my weight and i don't care about anyone else's weight and i love that girl's alternative outfit and i love that guy's basic outfit and i love people and i love love
spider-man brand new day (personal rating): 9.7/10. very good. very yummy. however minus 0.3 because i wanted to be absolutely devastated in the theater. i mean i teared up slightly at some bits (and I understand this would've been hard to achieve with the current situation peter is in) but i really wanted a no way home level of sadness and grief to overtake me and run me into the ground until i am a sad sack of shit. but otherwise very good movie

First thing I do before following any heated rivalry blog is seeing if they've made or reblogged any posts treating Reid like an idiot and if they do I straight up block them. I'm not interested in seeing posts that say shit like "she doesn't even know her own characters!" by people who are wildly misinterpreting the text and her own words.
i think that a lot of the intense RR critism comes from some of the inconsistencies throughout the books that are not always backed up by her words, yk? and coming from someone who LOVES headcanons, I find it dumb when someone says she doesn't "know" her own characters. like...? she made them? we physically and mentally CAN'T "know" them better. while there's some aspects i disagree with her on, she's not an idiot. she's written several books, she plans to continue to write books, and I think we as a fandom should put just a tiny bit more trust in her.
i don't like to yuck people's yum but i have to say that my least favorite thing to come from the current state of Artists on the Internet is the idea of a sketchbook as something nice and pretty and shareable. like i love me a notebook full of gorgeous art don't get me wrong but that is NOT what a sketchbook is. a sketchbook is my friend who i carry around everywhere like a purse chihuahua. it is the physical manifestation of my notes app. it is the container into which i wring my brain out. it is my therapist. and most of all it is filled with absolutely terrible sketches that should never see the light of day.
this post is making the rounds again and the amount of people saying that the pretty sketchbooks phenomenon ruined sketchbooks for them is HEARTBREAKING and i stand by my opinion that sketchbooks should be like a jar you put your OCs in. and then you shake them around in there. that's what they're for
