Y'all keep using this lighting excuse and that just further cements my belief that 1. Y'all have no darkskinned black friends 2. y'all think darkskinned people are just “super tan” white people and 3. because you have no black friends or people you are in constant contact with, you don’t know how various light sources interact with black skin.
Light would never wash out dark skin unless it’s highly concentrated and even then, dark skin 90% of the time will still reflect that light to some degree (see her shoulder in the right pic; I KNOW that isn’t a natural reflection, but dark black skin can do that if it is moisterized enough).
All in all, y'all need to start looking at pictures of darkakinned black people and studying how light works with black skin cuz y'all are applying lighting techniques used for light brown or white skin and then realizing it looks bad and just deciding to lighten her skin completely. Also y'all need to learn how to make dark colors with in pastel (which IS possible).

They would and he would get arrested. It’s sad that he couldn’t help them, but i know where he is coming from. They were all powerless. This is so sad. And this is what i mean by aggressive acts of racism done by white women. Call it as it is–this is aggressive racism. This isn’t thinly veiled or anything, these white women are being aggressive. I am tired of people acting like white women’s acts of racism, are lesser than white men’s, or are “silent” forms of racism. These past few incidents have been aggressive racist white women trageting poc.
hey since I just told a friend this and they found it helpful: if you’re having hallucinations and are having trouble distinguishing what’s real and what’s not, use your phone’s camera and take a picture of the thing you might be hallucinating. cameras don’t hallucinate.

sometimes ur own hallucinations may show up on camera or on a recording if its an auditory hallucination, so if ur unsure and have someone you trust, you can try sending the picture or recording to them and asking them what they see/hear too!!
I’ve only ever had like three or four instances of visual hallucinations but a friend who has them regularly
says that the way she checks is that she takes off her glasses, and if the image is still in perfect focus, that’s a hallucination
that might not work for everyone, but it might be helpful for some!
When I thought I was hearing a roommate/family member in the next room and thought they were talking to me, and couldn’t tell if they were actually in there or not and if they were actually saying those things (and usually the things they were saying were pretty bizarre and mean), if I put on headphones and blasted music and could still hear them clearly then I could tell it wasn’t them and I was hallucinating (so bascially similar to the eyeglasses post above, but on the auditory side of things). Headphones and music are great for fact-checking or for helping to block the quieter things out.

there. now you have a reference. under bright lighting, this should be her skin tone. with darker lighting, her skin tone should be darker. i PROMISE you dark-skinned people do not turn light-skinned under bright lighting.
if you are using “lighting” as an excuse to defend whitewashing (especially in artwork with no background or light source…?) then i have news for you: you are the one with no understanding of lighting and color theory.

so apparently Minecraft did this thing where people submitted their own builds to be made into steel structures that would be used to regrow coral in coral reefs, and one of the ones that got selected is a fishwolf, so now there is an actual physical minecraft wolf mermaid hybrid at the bottom of the ocean saving the coral reefs and i am living
