I would commit actual homicide for a chance to be their third
Is this the most wholesome family we've seen in a kdrama? The mom, the sister and the brother in law are so sweet and loving towards Shin I-rang 🥰
Sleepless in Seattle (1993) dir. Nora Ephron
Not sure why I put off watching this for so long. It isn't my fav Meg Ryan romcom, but a very decent watch.

You have caught me in a very French time in my life (going through a French romcom phase)
LEAP YEAR (2010) Dir. Anand Tucker
I decided to read "The Accidental Tourist" on a whim and I ended up finishing up all 500 pages in one go. Now this is Literature™️... Beautiful, hypnotic prose, a very dense and engaging and intricate character study.
I came in expecting a light romcom, God knows why, but it was a moving portrait of a parent dealing with the loss of their child + to me, a very grim deconstruction of the Manic Pixie Dream Girl.
This author has a gift for making her characters feel like real people. The Learys as characters and their depiction has to be one of my favs. They feel so real, in all their quirks and idiosyncrasies and neuroses and moments of genuine heart. Idk how anyone in their lives put up with them but also why noone can walk away.
Muriel, the FL(?), is somehow even sadder than the MMC, the guy who lost his child. So desperate and needy but still so resilient, determined and a real fighter. It was heartwarming watching her, the weird bozo she shacked up with, and her son becoming with a real family.
reasons for my favorite dramas being my favs
soredemo ikite yuku
for me personally it's the was they portrayed main two charectes, hiroki and futaba and their relationship. The dialogues were beautifully written and I REALLY loved how Sakamoto yuiji made us feel so many different characters pain at the same time. I saw someone describing this drama as narural, so natural that it didn't even feel like they were acting and I couldn't agree more. It has left me feeling very heavyhearted even though the message behind it is positive which is “hope” and “life goes on”. I still think about this drama from time to time and the impact it had on me.
3 nen a gumi
Don't have much to say about this drama. I just loved the message. In this world of social media, please think before you post something and don't hurt anyone with your malicious comments. Its just a bit personal to me as this was one of my early jdramas and i fell in love with suda masaki with this one.
kono sekai no katasumi ni
Where do I begin with this. To name a few the calmness in the chaos, suzu and her husbands innocent romance, the cinematic scenery, real problems. If I had to describe it with one word it would be BEAUTIFUL. Dramas set in rural japan really draws me in so this was an immediate yes for me. Tori and honoka had amazing chemistry. This drama was WARM. I deliberately use to put off watching episodes because I didn't want to complete it. Attachment issues. This drama screams slice of life and jdramas do the sol genre really well. Again, this show was painfully beautiful. The characters really hit right on the spot. Suzu still remains one of my favourite characters ever. Her everlasting love, the warmth radiates, I love her <3
brush up life
Again it's the personal experience and only because it was me that I enjoyed this drama so much. I had taken a huge break off from drama watching and was having a hard time coming back and this drama saved me from my slump. Every jdrama enjoyer should watch this. At first a bit repetitive but I still enjoyed it. The beautiful depiction of friendship, women friendship is my most favorite thing ever. Despite this being about time leap and fantasy it was still very REAL and human. Ando Sakura is a queen, and she never misses. All this and the main point why this is on of my favorites is the throwbacks to our favorite jdramas and jpop songs. As an avid jdrama fan it was so nice to see yourself being represented.
konto ga hajimaru
Painfully relatable drama about youth and navigating life, having to make the right decisions at the right time but don't know how to make those decisions. Nothing ever going your way. Young adults would definitely find the struggles in this show relatable. Friendship and careers, it was everything life. The cast had great chemistry and are so lovable. This was much more than a show to me, it was like a journal written specifically for me to understand, it’s ok, everyone have different hurdles, as long as you believe in yourself, you’ll be fine. Plus when I watched this I was really having a crisis with my career path, so I felt seen and so this show really spoke to me.
99.9 keiji
Mystery with comedy, buddy drama, genius lawyer, puns, friendship, matsujun, nothing could ever go wrong with this set. So much fun!!!
unnatural
down to every detail, this show felt perfect. the characters were the best part, everyone had their part, everyone had depth to their characters and were complex. satomi was just amazing. i loved the profession in this, coroner. i appreciated them working hard so much. as a med student i understand that kind of pain. i love shows with amazing characterisation and this was one of it. every character had a story to tell and none of their stories were lacking. everything was a 10 in this
kazoku dakara
working hard for your family. family means a lot to me and ofc this dorama shows us what it’s like to stick up to your family no matter what. this one hit home from episode one.
kanojotachi no jidai
complex , real characters. everyone was flawed but that’s what made them real. i loved it a lot, i don’t what it was but i literally binged watched this. the nostalgic feel bc it’s from the 90s, upped the experience for me. ofc female friendships is something i looked for in every dorama<3
IWGP
this show was purely for the vibes , the nostalgia, the jerks, the yankees , the jokes, the friendships, to see the actors that we love in the 2000s. ok but the feel for early 2000s doramas just hit different
beach boys
ending note;
as you can see, this list is random, because i don’t know what it is, if while watching im like wow this
as you can see I really like slice of life so yeah. Plus bias towards my favourite actors like hikari, suda, ando sakura, tori, honoka, eita.

Just finished Moon River. Binge watched AGAIN late into the night. Started off great and stuck the landing too. One of the best recent kdramas.
Finished Moon River and it was lovely from beginning to end.
By far my fave kdrama of 2025 tho there wasn't much competition tbh.
Such a comfort movie. So warm, kind, and full of love & humour.
help MEEEE
She deserves so much better 😭😭
If the King was the prisoner of the pact all along... And he was going to let the Left State Councilor go anyways... Then why tf did he encourage Gang to keep investigating the Gyesa Year Incident? Why did he encourage Gang's revenge plot against the LSC? Doesn't make sense to me.
