“Don’t you hurt a single hair on his/her/their head.”

This was humiliating. And that said something when it came from a boy dressed up as a vampire.
Like it wasn’t enough that he was continously ripped on back in South Park (that was fine, he could live with it!), but when it was in Denver… He felt so powerless. It was a foreign environment, with people that he didn’t know how far they’d go for a laugh, and he had already been marked as a target for being different here…
He was terrified that they’d actually lay a hand on him. He just didn’t think that he’d be able to handle it, no matter what they did to him. He he’d rather drop dead where he stood than have one of them grab at him.
So when some of the students on campus had surrounded him, all while mocking his appearance, his act, and even his lisp, he had cast his eyes to the ground and just tried to walk away from them. He didn’t want to run, that’d be even worse… But he felt them closing in on him fast.
However his head raised up when he suddenly heard a familiar voice right next to him.
“Bebe..?”
Bebe stood between Vampir and their harassers a stern disapproving look in her face. She had noticed her classmate having trouble with the group and refused to let things get out of hand on her watch. She squared up to the group and took a breath. “Go get your kicks somewhere else, in case you didn’t notice this is a person not a form of entertainment! Get lost!” She snapped.
The group gave her sour looks, but with murmurs of “Whatever” and “Lame” they decided it was best not to test her temper. Which honestly was in their best interest. Bebe could get a little crazy. Once they were gone she turned to face Vampir. Her expression softened and she placed a hand on their shoulder. “You okay?” She asked in a softer tone.
