HOORAY okay so basically y'know how their truck gets attacked by the dragon in OG? That's happening much earlier with a manticore that runs them off the road and across a river, and the tires go to shit. They're right outside Gongaga because I'm basing the map on OG instead of Rebirth, because I'm biased. Anway so Zack's plan is, "hey, let's just go visit my parents until Shinra can send new transport! I know the jungle looks intimidating but I know exactly how to get there!"

So Zack takes an immediate wrong turn and gets them horribly lost for a couple days. Seph is introduced to the hell that is Gongagan wild life. Cloud gets to watch his hero get turned into a frog. Zack has to cart Sephifrog around in his SOLDIER belt until they can get to the village and get some Maiden's Kiss. Seph is given the Maiden's Kiss in the middle of the Fair's living room where he has to awkwardly now introduce himself as, yes, that Sephiroth, the one whose exploits inspired your son to leave home, yes the one who's the big hero everyone talks about, please ignore that I was a frog three seconds ago--

They proceed to stay for about a week as Zack brings Seph around to meet people/see the sights, and Seph falls in love with the place. And also Zack. They may or may not make plans to desert and stay there. :3

Zack assures Seph several times over that most of the local wildlife is Totally Fine Actually if you just leave them alone. Proceeds to freak out when Seph casually informs him there is a Gagighandi staking out their campsite. When asked why this is the exception, Zack explains that those fuckers are an invasive species. Seph, as is typical, has more questions than answers.
