It's that time of year again...

Fauna rejects a lineup of deer one by one, declaring them not to represent the spirit of Yuletide. A white-tailed deer wearing candy canes, a fallow deer wrapped in a scarf with mittens, a red deer dressed as a snowman, and an elk sporting shiny ornaments all don't make the cut.

She pauses, however, on the caribou wrapped in string lights. This is the most acceptable option by far; a moment is needed to admire it.

This moment is short-lived. The final contestant arrives on the scene— a very cartoony critter that resembles a dog more than a deer. Fauna cries out in agony. ]

Not to spnrot but today being the anniversary of the pilot reminded me that September 18th/the anniversary of Lazarus Rising and Cas' debut is also this week and its a fucking Thursday of all days. It was a Thursday when it originally aired too, meaning (canonically in universe and irl) Castiel both debuted and died on a Thursday (Nov 5th 2020). He died the way he started, by saving Dean Winchester. Happy anniversary Destiel, you'll never not make me mentally unwell.
