Mollie Tibbets is a twenty year old student of the University of Iowa. She was dog sitting for a friend in Brooklyn, Iowa. On Wednesday, July 18th, 2018 she mysteriously vanished. The timeline of Mollie’s disappearance is not clear, but officials say the last time the young woman was last seen going out for a jog. It is not known if she returned. It is also possible that Mollie went missing on early Thursday morning. She had plans to make a day trip to a fair with the daycare she works for. The group had matching red shirts to wear for the occasion. Mollie’s family has looked for her shirt everywhere, but it has not been found.

On Friday, July 20th search crews canvassed the fields between the Tibbets’ home and the house where Mollie was disappearing. There has been no report if they were able to turn up any clues related to Mollie’s disappearance.

Mollie has long brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5’3” tall and weighs about 120 pounds. She may have last been seen either in her running gear – a black sports bra, running shorts, and tennis shoes – or in a red t-shirt with denim shorts.

Anyone with information regarding Tibbetts’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Poweshiek County Sheriff’s Office at 641-623-5679.

Human trafficking is an issue in our area because we are between Chicago and St. Louis. I pray that that hasn’t happened.
