so what if the heir was like mulan, in the sense that a girl gets into the selection and sheās dressed up as a guy? and then eadlyn falls in love with him, not knowing itās a her, but when she finds out itās a her, eadlynās still in love?

Like did her brother get in, but he was ill or something, but her family need the money, so she disguised herself to go into the palace?
How would she avoid the makeover that the Selected get when they come to the palace?
How would she get along with all the other guys?
Would Eadlyn get along with her immediately or would they not like each other at all?
But like a really slow burn romance with lots of sexual tension??
And the girlās so guilty that after her and Eadlynās first kiss she exposes herself??
And Eadlynās just so outraged because she felt genuinely in love with her so she storms off to avoid facing her feelings??
And the girl feels so awful and packs her bags to leave, but when Eadlyn comes back, Eadlyn demands the entire story and by the end of it Eadlyn spills all her feelings and they just kiss and itās wonderful????
Bonus: Eadlyn tells her parents sheās bi and theyāre just like āWeāve known that since you were 13, go bring us the girl that was disguised as a man.ā and Eadlynās like wtf and Americaās like āPlease, Eady, I had a heart attack, my eyes were not harmed.ā
