“Christ —- having a shortage on food, with him around, would be a living nightmare.” Rick stated aloud, not wanting to even imagine how t h a t would unfold. The constant hunger. “New food would come in and it’d be gone within a matter of moments.” He assumed before reaching and taking her hand into his, pulling her in close to him. “Now that he’s also gone, we’ll be able to display our affection for one another without that childish look of disgust across his face.” A smirk came over his features, “I’m glad he still thinks girls have c o o t i e s.” He remarked before placing a loving kiss upon Andrea’s lips. “Now what were you thinking for lunch, hm?”
An amused huff of air leaves her lips as she nods, only agreeing with him. Of course it was all in good fun, she loved Carl after all, like her own son, but damn could that boy eat. "We've been lucky as all hell, his timing to leave the nest couldn't have been better." A shrug lifts her shoulders as she's pulled back to facing Rick. Her gaze softened at his words, as that thought hadn't crossed her mind. She'd been too preoccupied with the fair and Rick's trip to send Carl off, and the newcomers to even acknowledge that they had the house to themselves...and would, for the foreseeable future. The thought, for some reason made her excited, and a little uneasy. When had it ever been just the two of them? Lightly laughing into his kiss, she pulled back,
"You can't be that oblivious, Rick. Carl hasn't thought of cooties in a long time." She remembered back at the prison when she used to watch the kids, and Carl and Sophia would be holding hands. Maybe she'd let him have his little delusion, but who knew, when they saw him in two months for the fair ( maybe sooner, she wasn't sure if Rick would even be able to last two weeks without correspondence ) he'd probably even have a girlfriend. Moving to kiss him again, she shrugged, "Magna and I were just finishing some harvesting when you got in, so we could make some sandwiches, or a salad-- I," she paused for a second, head dipping down, "I had gone to the mess hall last night to eat, and actually forgot you and Carl weren't home so there's a big pot of chili Aaron cooked up. We could have that."
