In the last few days, we noticed that Max (our 15 month old Boxer/Rhodesian mix) had a runny nose and he felt a bit warmer than usual. Thinking it was allergies, we kept wiping his nose and waited. But this morning he was breathing hard and we rushed him to the vet’s office. Max has pneumonia. The vet stressed to us that this might be fatal. We don’t know yet if it is viral or bacterial. If it’s bacterial, his cocktail of antibiotics will help him. If it’s viral, all we can do is hope and pray that he can survive it. The vet bill of this morning was $505 and we had to split the cost among 3 people, the next 6 weeks of medication will cost $1,080 (3 different antibiotics), and the x rays will cost a minumum of $160. Hopefully we will not need to put him into intensive care or we will have to raise the GoFundMe’s goal. Please consider donating or even just sharing to try and save my baby. His x-ray is a bit hard to see because I took a photo from my phone.

please please god somebody help me

I’m 20 years old, I’m unemployed and I’ve been homeless since I was 15. My parents kicked me out because they found out I was gay. The place that I’ve been staying has told me that I have until September 13 to find another place to stay. All the shelters in town are full and my only options are to stay with a past abuser or sleep on the streets. I have talked with my case manager and there are not a lot of resources to help me. I suffer from several mental illnesses that prevent me from working, my therapist hasn’t even cleared me for a part time job yet.

I got this letter in the mail today. it’s from a collections agency stating that I owe them nearly $370 from a prior hospital visit. (The prior hospital visit was against my will, I was forcibly taken to the ER by police and held there overnight). please help me I don’t have a place to live I cannot pay this bill. If you know anybody in MN in the Saint Cloud area with a spare room or even a couch I can stay on please please tell me. I’m so scared of being on the streets while the weather is changing, homeless people freeze to death in my town every year.

hey guys. i know i currently sort of have a fundraiser going for myself, but to be honest this is really crucial to be signal boosted and spread around, so please give this priority. i only met kayla last month before she moved away but she’s generous and kind and deeply, deeply traumatized by a life in the foster care system, especially as a lesbian. see above for the full story, but she’s on the verge of homelessness in georgia where she knows no one and we’re trying to get her back home to upstate new york again. it is VITAL that we help young members of our community that the system has totally fucked over. kayla is one of those people, and she really deserves and needs our help.

**also, kayla’s the one who left me all those pieces for smoking, so i have some stuff i can sell in exchange for donations. if anyone is interested in a really nice test tube-style bowl (like this but it has a sexy lady logo on it, i’ve smoked out of it before i cleaned it and i love it, smoothest shit), a 2-piece grinder (like this one and good quality), or a legitimately cute (imo i like kitschy) ashtray that’s a rainbow skull, hit me up and i’ll send u pics. ok, sorry i’m posting this now because it’s so late, but please signal boost now or in the morning? this situation became an emergency today when kayla’s brother who was currently hosting her found the fundraiser, got offended (?), gave her 20 minutes to pack her belongings, drove her to the bus station, bought her a ticket to albany, and sent her off with no food or money and only the few bags she could throw together. she managed to get in touch with jaya from the bus station and was more distraught than either of us have ever seen her. she’s arriving tomorrow at 7 pm and won’t have eaten for a few days. most of the possessions she had to leave behind were the kind of stuff that every foster kid keeps in a bag to be able to pick up and move at a moment’s notice (bedding, toiletries, etc) and she has no funds to start up here at all. once she gets settled she’ll be able to get on top of reinstating her insurance, job hunting, and all that, but we lost a few weeks of buffer period to raise money that we thought we had, and it’s absolutely necessary, especially because neither my family nor jaya really has much extra cash to be able to support her fully.
