Guys i just wanted to say disney did not sue once upon a zombie. Even though they could have. Once upon a zombie was cancelled due to competition with bigger toy companies and wave two dolls not doing great, and the brand wowwee itself being strayed aside from what the brands identity was actually about.
Disney COULD have sued them, however the success rate wouldve been very low and would’ve depended on the characters presentation and specific details to the brand. Disney holds trademarks on characters such as Cindarella, who is featured in wave one and two of the Once upon a zombie line, which could have lead to a trademark infringement claim, however did not happen. Disney owns trademarks for characters like Cinderella, and using a similar name and likeness, like „Zombie Cinderella” could be considered trademark infringement. The key question would be whether the "Once Upon a Zombie" brand creates a likelihood of confusion among consumers about the source of the product, to which wowwee would argue back that the obvious name of „ZOMBIE CINDARELLA” and the separate branding would not confuse customers as the name is clearly different.
This would be different if they marketed their products differently, and only then would Disney be able to successfully sue.

Ava the 3d doll, who remembers this?
Ava the 3d doll was a game made by cocoplay. It was released on December 8th 2012, however deleted later between 2015-2017 (the exact date is not disclosed) for reasons that are not publicly available. However, people believe the game was deleted due to a glitch where you would put Ava to sleep, leave the game, and when you come back she would be looking at you in a sad/angry way.
It is also said that the game is deleted because it caused children to have nightmares about it.
