Anyone who climbs knows that getting into trad can be a long process that requires a lot of mentorship, patience, and money. It's taken a while, but I'm fortunate to have finally been breaking into trad leading with the help of hard work and some amazing people. I worked my ass off this summer to save, and I've slowly been getting more and more gear so that I can be totally self sufficient. I've always wanted to take one of these gear pictures and now I finally have enough that it doesn't look silly! :) I still have a long way to go, but that's the beauty of climbing, there is always room for improvement (and of course more gear!). Many more photos to come of my climbing adventures in the daks this season!

When you live on a flat island you use makeshift thermarest "crash pads" and make FA's on dirty, graffiti covered boulders. Regardless, this was a fun day at Sunken Meadow State Park :)
