@ Black Women -- I want to paint you!
Hey everyone! I’m Simone, a college senior majoring in graphic design and an artist at heart.
For my senior thesis, I want to create a series of paintings that focus of the diversity and beauty of black women. I’m just starting out in the brainstorming/ sketching phase, that’s where you come in for inspiration! I’m looking for women with different skin tones, hairstyles, facial features, etc (not much focused on the body as these pieces won’t show past the shoulders).
If you’d like to be a part of this, please send me a selfie/ picture of you through tumblr message! Can be in different poses (front on, side profile, etc). I won’t be painting the exact picture you send, but I may use parts of it for inspiration ☺️I’ll send you a message if I do! I love seeing so much diversity on days like the Blackout or just scrolling through my dash and wanted to incorporate that in these pieces.
Currently, my focus is on women but I have thought about painting men..if black men wish to send pictures too you can!
