I know I haven’t been the easiest person to reach as of late—literally, as well as psychologically. I also know that I left abruptly and without writing no more than a brief, disgruntled goodbye post.
I am very, very attached to this character and what I’ve done with him over the past couple of years. To me, it was like writing character development before one starts writing a book.
It was also one of the most positive experiences I’ve ever had being a member of a roleplaying group. I’ve only ever had problems with one member in this group and in the end, they ended up isolating themselves and leaving.
I would have to say that since December, I’ve been having a hard time keeping in contact with my muse. Some of you know a little more about me than others, and therefore, can guess as to why. However, I am glad that not many do.
I will admit that I haven’t been able to reach my muse or speak to others about it not only because I have a general fear of people, but due to psychological reasons. My BPD (borderline personality disorder) has obstructed a lot of my creativity and as much as I want to escape from myself, I can’t ignore the pain.
I have resigned because not only did I feel inadequate as a role player, but because I know what it’s like to wait for someone, only to see that they have essentially “disappeared.” It would be selfish of me to claim Tiger’s Eye if I’m going to be as inactive as I am.
This is a formal apology. I’m sorry for everything I’ve done.
Because I know my resignation is disruptive for many role players who have had their muses have a relationship with my own, I will give the following reason as to how he “disappeared,” and I hope that this is not triggering: Tiger’s Eye disappeared on a flight to Seattle on business; no wreckage of the plane has been found. As brief as this reason is, I hope that this it is sufficient.
