@aerinmoriarty
During lesbian visibility week
Special thanks to @aerinmoriarty for doing the research that proved this was at the height of its use as a gay signal
Woke up, chose violence, gotta special Pride Month message to Hetlors out there…
Taylor Swift: I'm dropping hairpins. I'm a friend of Dorothy. I'm obsessed with Killing Eve. I have the entire girl in red album on repeat. I write sapphic love songs. I reference queer history and art like I'm autistic and it's my special interest. When dating it's like I'll hang out with him or hang out with her. I'm James. Gay pride makes me ME. I use 100 "Deadass thought I made it obvious."-lil nas x-esque rainbow and lesbian flag colored visuals per year. I constantly use gay signals codes and flagging that have been a staple of finding community in the queer community for ages. None of my queer friends seemingly tell me to stop doing this even tho most of my team and most of my friends are queer. I use the lesbian salute every time I salute. I wrote love songs about women on an album I say is about my life.
The Most Undeucated Queer Person You Know: clearly this is the straightest woman alive.
His last day as CEO was March 18, which means this photo was taken in the first half of March.
$10 says it was taken on the Ides of March, lmao
Because that would be hilarious.
There's a reason that Taylor is one of the only celebs whose PR person is known by name to many fans, and why we only see Taylor and Travis when one or both of them has a big career moment they're trying to sell for fans, or when one of them is collaborating with a large brand. TayVis and the added attention and money that it provoked is a huge element of why Eras Tour was able to make enough for Taylor to repurchase her master's rights. And the entire charade is a great example of TayCapitalism: how Taylor is able to make the money she needs by selling fans a story they want to believe in, regardless of how many contradictions are occurring.
I discuss that and more in my latest:
MY NAME, IS FRICKIN MOON MOON. I’D BE THE MOST IDIOTIC WOLF. ‘OH SHIT WHO BROUGHT FUCKING MOON MOON ALONG?’
the post that started it all
oh god
Never not reblogging.
I’ve only seen this post in screenshots
I’m very surprised this post hasn’t broken a million.
Alpha Paw 🥴
Just now realized I'm fucking WHITE CLAW
Something that has frequently frustrated me is the way Taylor get erased from her own narrative, things that were signs and symbols of her and her career get reassigned to the men she’s dated publicly. Never has this been more prominent than with TayVis, and the way the color red, the letter T, the Archer & so much more have been co-opted as signs of Travis.
But that’s not enough, the crowd is chanting more.
Stans were giddy when they saw an artist label an envelope Mrs Taylor Kelce… give up her name.
Stans were excited when Eras Tour was done cause her career wouldn’t interfere with her being sidelines at every one of Travis’ games… give up her job.
Stans were thrilled every time they thought Taylor had a little belly, every time they saw her and she didn’t have an alcoholic beverage… give up her body.
All of her work and all that she is gets centered around whichever male muse fans are hard for at any given moment.
Hence the recent comments she made about Paternity Testing: trying to find the one man they believe was behind the creation of her songs, even to the erasure of Taylor in her own corpus.
I discuss this and much more in my latest.
Stealing Gaylor theories so hard they've even stolen double wedding theory 😂😂😂🥰
And it’s this fuckass George Michael cosplayer Travis Kelce in straight coworker mode with Taylor; like THIS is the picture?!!
If every Gaylor died tomorrow, there would STILL be more fans that find their way towards believing Taylor is queer because she has spent her entire career using hundreds of queer symbols, metaphors, flags, shibboleths, & more in her work. These things explicitly exist so closeted artists can signal to their community that they're part of the community, without suffering the oppression, abuse, and career limits that coming out to straight people's standards causes.
There has never been a time in US history where out queer people could achieve the same things as closeted or straight people. Closeted people are everywhere, and have always made a lot of our films, music, literature, etc.
There are many reasons celebrities don't come out: safety, morality clauses, having career goals they still want to achieve, fear of familial or religious rejection, and having a lot of conservative fans who they seek to help deconstruct through their work are just a few.
Pointedly: queerflagging is done voluntarily by people who are TRYING TO BE SEEN by their community, and the idea that noticing it is disrespectful or disgusting does not make sense.
Y'all are happy to say you value lesbian or sapphic or gay or queer visibility when the holiday hits, but when you arent LEARNING AND UTILIZING knowledge about how queer people have found each other even when being heavily oppressed, YOU DON'T KNOW how to see people in these communities and in that failure you deny them visibility.
The reason you have been told speculation is disgusting or intrusive is because it benefits a patriarchy that suffers the more people realize that queerness is normal, healthy & more common than they want you to think.
When you invent circumstances where queerflags are not interpreted as queer, you dilute the value and utility of these symbols for other queer people, and you separate an artist from their community and vice versa. This is committing violence against someone we are in community with and against the sanctity of queer communication.
The idea that celebrity queerbaiting is more common than legitimate queerflagging is not backed up by basis of fact. The idea that celebrities who spend lot's of time around queer people could be flagging queerness without realizing it just does not make sense. If they were signaling something they didn't mean, someone would tell them.
And with Taylor, so many of the signs of symbols that Gaylors have glommed onto are things Taylor has used again and again, demonstrating that she not only used them deliberately but also that she knows what they mean and she wants to convey that meaning. Hairpin drops in both lyrics and literal hair pins, constant lesbian flag colors, friend of dorothy/dorothea are just the most obvious things Tayloe has come back to over and over across many eras.
The word queerbaiting is one disproportionately leveraged against people who will one day come out of the closet.
The idea that Taylor hates Gaylors is not out of any basis of real statements from Taylor. The arguments used against Gaylors are most commonly segments of larger passages that are targeted at the media. When Gaylors are made the scapegoat of every wrong in the community, the people who actually harm Taylor, such as the media, are allowed to continue to get away with that harm.
The idea that Taylor talking about hating paternity testing is against Gaylors is cope from fans who dont want to accept that they ARE doing something Taylor explicitly has called out: making her music about one or more men, when those men didn't make those songs. Taylor is trying to get more fans to focus on HER story and who SHE is and what her music says about HER and the only subsegment of fans regularly doing that are Gaylors. And the fans who constantly try to derail our discussion by saying, "No, this songs about Matty," or whoever their fave male muse of the moment is, ARE the ones paternity testing by inferring that song has one man who was instrumental in its creation.
The nasty things haters say about Gaylors ALSO MEAN TAYLOR because SHE is the Gaylor putting all of these signs and symbols in her work. So maybe before flagging Gaylors off, Swifties should pause for a minute and think: "If Taylor is #1 Gaylor and sees this message, how would it make her feel?"
I'm sorry about watching the gaylor crash outs after the New York Times interview dropped is hilarious because y'all are acting as if she didn't fire off a huge warning shot with a 1989 prologue. She very clearly does not like the speculation anymore she might have at one point in her life but she doesn't anymore. She probably figured out that do stuff like liner notes wasn't healthy and that's why she hasn't done them in like seven albums now. People change and grow teenage Taylor in early 20s Taylor who would do the secret messages has clearly not existed for a very long time now because she likes her privacy. If you really look at shes done she's kept very consistent with what she said in new heights which is that she never easter eggs her personal life.
If you continue to speculate after Not only the 1989 prologue but now also this New York Times interview you're not a true fan because she's made it clear she's uncomfortable by it.
Ah yes, Prologue Prolapse: the way Taylor's most bigoted fans collectively show their gaping inflamed assholes by reading Taylor's prologues the same way they do their Bibles, picking and choosing the 2 lines they can twist out of context against Gaylors and ignoring the rest.
The 1989 Prologue is about the media. And y'all scapegoating Gaylors over it makes the ACTUAL PEOPLE CAUSING TAYLOR HARM-- the MEDIA-- to keep getting away with it.
If it WAS about the fans, the lines y'all ignore immediately prior would be calling out all the fans who speculate about Joe and Travis and Matty. But y'all never call it up when other segments of the fandom are talking about them, because you don't care what it says, you just wanna "win" against Gaylors.
And the 2 times shes complained about Paternity Testing... that means looking for the MAN INVOLVED IN A SONG'S CREATION, ie the assertion that men are more important to her work than she is. You have to have brain worms to believe that's in any way related to Taylor hating Gaylors.
Because yall Hetlors can't collectively rub 2 brain cells together and you ignore the ACTUAL PROBLEMS, because that would realize recognizing that Y'ALL ARE THE ONE'S TARGETED BY THE PATERNITY TEST QUOTES.
If she "doesn't easter egg about her private life" yall cant have it both ways and say that she can't be flagging queer shit but that she does flag the men. Either you accept what she says or you don't... but you only accept what she says when you think its a win against Gaylors.
But yall don't want to recognize the fact that everything you say about Gaylors includes Taylor because its HER QUEER ASS that put the symbolism there.
Where are the gaylor crashouts exactly? Bc I've only seen gaylors celebrating.
I'm not gonna belabor the great points made by the most recent reblog so let me add further points:
1: speculating someone-who is aggressively using queer flags/codes/symbols/signals with the enthusiasm of an autistic lesbian whose special interest is queer history and culture-might be queer is not the same as insisting every single song she writes is about a man and treating that as the most important aspect of a song.
2: Taylor doesn't Easter Egg her private life right? Then either she's lying or Travis Kelce isn't her personal life and he's a pr relationship.
How do I know this?
Let's roll back to Midnights Mayhem With Me
Promotional material for midnights and full of Easter eggs, this series presented itself as random chance but clearly was not. Why?
First track announced: Track 13 Mastermind. A song which we would later find out has the lyrics "what if I told you none of it was accidental." So I'm supposed to believe that's a coincidence? That the first one she pulled was her special number and the song about how she masterminds shit to look accidental but it's not?
Second Track: Track 8
Third track: 7 see where I'm going?
Next three tracks: 6 2 3
So her special number, his special number, then the date (6/23) that he cameo'd on the eras tour stage?
That isnt a coincidence. That's an egg. And she was still with Joe. Hadn't even had her Matty fling yet.
Then we have her going to hotel room 87 in the fate of ophelia music video. Then we have "new heights of manhood"
Travis talking about being butthurt at the eras tour? First happens in an AD FOR CONCERTS. Its showbiz babe, shes married to the hustle. She doesn't want ppl crediting a man for her work and she wants ppl to read more into the lyrics, which when you do become incredibly queer to anyone with a general knowledge of queer history and flagging.
Speculating about the meaning of a song and the personal experiences and feelings put into it =/= "this song is about (insert man here) and all I'm gonna talk about is this guy, act like he basically wrote the song, and maybe harass him on the internet. Later I'm gonna debate which muses produce better songs (real thing hetlors do)" which is what shes talking about in the interview.
In conclusion
ps: queer people dont flag as heavily as she does if they dont want speculation. Flagging is intentional invitation to speculation. It is queer survival. Stop demeaning our history, culture, and survival tools.

i bet it feels good as fuck to be in a band and hear gay rumors about you and the guy youre secretly having sex with
YES! Bc sometimes you just want the world to know that you're with that person! That person chose you!
And also for the same reason things like gay and lesbian Visibility days matter; knowing some people out there see and love and validate the gayest, freakiest little part of you is important to feeling like an important part of the community.
Red Alert TayLiz/Elizabeth Taylor/Liz Taylor ship supporters…
Liz Huett just released a song under the label Rhode Island Records. She was not previously affiliated with this label and her previous copyrights were in her and Pretty Birds’ names. Rhode Island is interesting because of Holliday House, so that might be somehow related to Taylor or referencing her.
It’s a fun song too, check it out!
Here’s the song, it’s catchy!
She's heeerrrreeee my thoughts on why Mother Mary is almost definitely inspired by Gaylor theory, looking into some of the things that transpired during that era that could impact which songs and visuals could have inspired the Mother Mary team, and giving a "Rep Era Gaylor Lore Primer"
I don’t think people were listening to our English teacher so let me spell it out:
NOTHING.

Call me when TNT blows up 🧨 and don’t act so surprised as if this wasn’t spelled out for you in EVERY album and in music videos and onstage in front of audiences night after night.
HEY KIDS! Spelling is…
clearly hard for some of you :)
Whenever a celebrity who hasn't come out of the closet does something that doesn't align with cisheteronormativity, people are far too quick to label it queerbaiting, and/or to strongly demand that said celebrity is straight.
However: Queerbaiting is a word most often leveraged against people who will one day come out of the closet.
It is a violence being committed against people we are in community with. This is not Sherlock or other TV shows where fictional characters are at play.
These are real people; and close inspection of show biz history reveals that closeted people have ALWAYS been a big force in the creation of our media.
But coming out is a big decision. One that has serious impact on the amount of reach, profit, recognition, and opportunity a person can have. In some cases, people lose family, friends, jobs, religion, & their home and safety over it.
There has never been a time in US history where queer people could come out and still have the same life, career, and income as if they didn't come out. At the same time, queer people want to feel seen, loved and accepted.
And in the words of Jessie Paege: “If someone’s taking up a space in the community assume they need it”
Sabrina Carpenter is the latest to have queerbaiting allegations thrown her way, but Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and many more have been targetted by queerbaiting discourse.
In my latest video, I discuss why we need to be better. Why we need to stop assuming these are straight shenanigans, and just accept that these people are trying to not only remain in community with us, but also to continue the subcurrent of queer symbolism that has always been underneath the main current of Mainstream media.
I discuss this in greater detail in the below video:
