That was simultaneously the most boring and the most interesting Monaco GP I've ever watched. Like the first two thirds were your standard Monaco BUT THEN out of nowhere this became the most interesting Monaco has ever been. Although I still feel like Monaco should be replaced it was really exciting to see a standing restart.
The only thing that would save this completely for me is a confirmation of a penalty for Isack (although I'd feel very bad for him) to elevate oscar to the podium but in my opinion that's very unlikely.
Nevertheless an amazing drive from oscar, kept out of trouble (except for the speeding penalty that nearly everyone got) and got a good amount of points. Looking forward to barcelona for maybe some more performance from the McLaren boys
Absolutely gutted for Charles. His interview was just painful to watch. When I read the contract extension this week I just thought to myself well, there goes his chance of ever winning a wdc and sadly I was right. I just wish he would switch to a team that actually delivers a car that can win for him. He is so talented and as Seb Vettel once said he shouldn't waste it on Ferrari. Hopefully one day he will see that too (or on the off chance that Ferrari can actually make a great car again he is still with them and can finally win this whole damn thing)
Oh no it's so sad that the Canadian GP got cancelled
There is something I want to share.
Ever since I was a child, I’ve had a huge amount of moles on my face. Right now, I have more than 20 on my cheeks alone. For the longest time, I was incredibly self-conscious about them and felt devastated every time a new one appeared. I genuinely thought nobody could ever find me beautiful with them.
Today I realised that Oscar Piastri, someone I personally think is very beautiful, has them too. And it made me ask myself: why do I judge myself so harshly for something I appreciate in other people?
I think I came to an important conclusion. If I can find moles beautiful on others, and if other people do too, then maybe I should stop treating mine like flaws.
So I want to put this out there for anyone who feels the same way I used to: you are beautiful. Not despite your moles, but because of them. They are part of what makes your face uniquely yours, and there is something genuinely lovely about that.
my radical proposal for making f1 interesting again
- 15 races AT MOST
- real tracks only except we keep monaco but they race in randomly chosen cars from previous seasons, all of them
- we rotate tracks every year but city circuits are banned and so are tilkedromes unless we like them (like cota)
- sprinklers are implemented
- proximity radio between the cars is allowed so that for example lawson and checo can yell at each other freely. if you get voted driver of the day you get one way radio to someone where they can't reply for the next race
- absolutely NO triple headers. if you suggest quadruple headers you are shot on sight
- driver briefings are shown live. it's filmed like the office. tp meetings are also shown live but it's filmed like a horror movie
- if your team fucks up the strategy the head of strategy has to do press after the race instead of whoever's race they ruined (ferrari send both the head and the deputy)
- max has the fastest car every third race but he must start p22. just to see what happens. if there's rain he must give one lap advantage to the rest of the field
- stewards must make decisions within 3 minutes of something happening. they also get to radio the drivers live. fans then get to vote if they agree with the decision or not and teams get to contest after the race only if 90% of votes disagree with the stewards
Amazing artist, amazing art
aston martin: help we accidentally entered an f3 car
cadillac: our drivers keep bitch fighting each other for p21

Formula 1 is back and so is Oscar. What a great drive with that late charge on Charles (who I feel absolutely awful for, that spin was just tragic). Again a great start and just kept being consistent with his times.
Also congrats to Lando and Kimi, both did a great job today and absolutely deserve their places on the podium.
There are lots of messed up things and toxicity in the formula one community. But there is one amongst it that just doesn't make any sense to me: Max fans hating on Oscar. Like, genuinely why? Oscar is the closest you can get to Max's ability of wheel-to-wheel driving. He shows Max the respect he deserves without cowering away from him. He isn't afraid and races him hard but fair. And it's the same the other way around. Max is not my favourite driver but I really enjoy watching him and Oscar race against each other. Why is that so hard for so many Max fans out there?
one thing i love about oscar is that he never gives up, even when on the back foot. all those races last year when he was starting from p5, he gave it his all despite knowing that the car wasn't set up how he liked or he couldn't match the pace. he still fought and fought. and in the race yesterday, he knew that beating the mercedes was probably going to be extremely difficult, if not unachievable and yet he still tried, he saw an opportunity and seized it. he never gives up even when things look impossible. and now i'm not saying some drivers on the grid have a defeatist mindset when they aren't sat inside a rocketship, but i'm also not, not saying that.
anyway. oscar's determination is so admirable, he comes back stronger every time and its so beautiful to watch.
Remember when we all thought the driver market was going to be calm for a few years… yeah. about that.
Because now the gp to mclaren rumours are actually real and I feel like people are not fully processing what that means.
That’s not just a random move. That’s Max's race engineer. That’s years of trust and communication and tiny details that you don’t just rebuild with someone new.
And I genuinely don’t think max would want to.
Like I’m sorry but I cannot see him sticking around long enough to go through that whole process again. When GP leaves after 2027, I think max goes too.
And when that seat opens up?
You cannot tell me red bull wouldn’t go for Oscar.
Because he fits exactly what they always want. Calm, consistent, fast, doesn’t implode under pressure, can be shaped into the center of a team.
And yes I KNOW red bull is a shitshow sometimes. I am very aware. We have all seen it. The second driver curse is real and alive and thriving.
But also… they commit. when they pick their driver, they commit commit. And let's not pretend that McLaren isn't their own little (or sometimes not so little) shitshow.
So now imagine this:
Max retires after 2027
GP goes to McLaren
and Oscar steps into that red bull seat
And for once he’s not in a “shared” project, not in a balancing act, but in a team that is fully built around him.
And I hate that part of me wants that because I will follow oscar wherever he goes, but also… I really hope he doesn’t go into hell. Because all of this has the potential to be amazing - but also to be a freaking disaster.
Do i know that this theory is a far stretch? Yes.
Am i giddy thinking about Oscar finally being in a team that's supporting him fully? Also yes 🥹✨
Watched the race today with someone I thought was a friend. Never again.
He literally yelled “YES” when Antonelli and Leclerc crashed, then immediately went on about how the penalty was “totally unfair.” He spent half the race on his phone, then kept saying he wanted “a big crash” because he was bored. Sorry, but if your idea of fun is hoping for drivers to get into life-threatening accidents, you’re not just a bad fan — you’re a terrible human being.
And the misogyny? Oh, it was there in full force. He asked what all the women at Racing Bulls even do, because “they can’t possibly be pit crew.” He argued with every single thing I said, as if I couldn’t possibly know what I was talking about. And of course, the cherry on top: telling me I’m only a Piastri fan because he’s attractive. (like girl. speak for yourself💀)
It’s exhausting. Misogynistic comments, dismissing everything I say, cheering for crashes like it’s a video game — people like that suck all the joy out of watching F1. Motorsport deserves respect. The drivers deserve respect. And fans — especially women — deserve respect too.
If you can’t watch a race without being sexist or wishing for crashes, maybe just… don’t. And honestly? Time for some of you to do a vibe check on how you treat your fellow female fans.
Remember that? I've met him through mutual friends a few times these last weeks. He is a die hard Merc fan and oh my gosh, I didn't know someone could be this obnoxious. I mean I understand being proud when your favourite team or favourite driver does well and I'm not saying I'm the most neutral observer (I'm definitely not neutral) but I understand when someone wins because of a safety car. I understand when someone is uncomfortable in a car and cannot do as well as they should. I can understand and praise a good weekend even from drivers I don't support.
Apparently others cannot. He told me multiple times how I just didn't want to see that Oscar Piastri is actually a bad driver, how he is washed and never even had a chance last year and how "his" team is just so much better than everybody else. He concluded his statement with "women just don't know anything about motorsport"
I hate men.
tbh the nonchalant energy oscar brings to his captions i wouldn’t be surprised that when he wins wdc, his first ig post will be all the emotional heartfelt piccies with the trophy, his family, his team
then his caption will just be like
yay
I think that's the most accurate post about Oscar I've seen all week.
Also I just love the fact that we all collectively agree that it's not a matter of if, but when Oscar will win the wdc.
Oscar and Charles the moment those lights went out
crazy how my happiness is dependent upon whether a man named oscar piastri gets to drive really fast on a loop in his stupid little car or not
Oscar you rock my world. First start of the season and then going on to finish on the podium.
Also super relieved that Ollie is okay, that crash looked massive.
And congrats to Kimi and Charles as well, what a mega drive from both of them.
Every time I feel miserable as an Oscar Piastri fan I think about how Max Verstappen fans must feel right now and suddenly I'm very happy about where I am
