if you march drum corps and make shitty comments about other corps’, you are literally the reason why this activity is frown upon by others.
this is activity is more than scores, placement and who deserves what place.
do not praise another corps by slandering another’s show.
fierce facial expressions are my speciality. 🔥
I see a trend on dci etsy where a lot of people copy popular art work / products. while there’s no law against blatantly copying someone’s inspired products, it’s hella rude and disrespectful.
please use better judgement when you decide to make products for tour fees because dci etsy sellers go through a lot to make a name for themselves. respect for their hard work should be a no brainer.

I’ve wanted to march drum corps since my junior year of high school, but I’ve never been able to put together the money to actually audition for a corps, let alone pay for tour fees. Now that I’m technically an adult and have a job, I’ve been putting away money to march the few years that I have left until I age out. Since I’ve grown, I’ve realized that summer band is very pricey and in my honest opinion, I don’t think you should accept a contract if you know cannot fulfill your financial obligations. While that’s harsh thing to say, you are potentially robbing someone else of the opportunity to live out their dream. You are giving staff false hope, and knowingly taking a spot that’ll be empty come April or May, when most cut rookies are resigned to a summer with the Couchmen. I’d rather not march a year than burden others with my fiscal responsibilities that I should take care of before stepping on the field. Do NOT walk into an audition camp and accept a contract you can’t pay for. Do NOT rely on crowdfunding and the generosity of others to pay for something you are passionate about. And don’t you ever fucking dare be so selfish to take a spot others were cut for, only to give it up because you didn’t have your things together when the time came.
