Finally, some good fucking news!

Krinkels has addressed what happened, even if somewhat vague. I believe this is a good step to improving our community, and I am optimistic going forward. Zep also wrote a fantastic addition that acknowledges the situation. This is sourced from Zeps Twitter.

In regards to what we can do, I believe we should try to not have this culture of silence happen again. If you have been in the Madness Twitter Community, you will know that people have a social justice streak and theres been a number of large callouts and attempted callouts in the last few years. Despite that environment, this issue was ignored for years and rarely publicly spoken about. For the future, we need to hold ourselves to not being complacent to this.

I have my own personal wishes for things to happen, but knowing what I know privately, I am confident this will be something positive for all affected.

I won't delete this account, as archiving is important to me, but I feel like it served its purpose well enough.

Forgive the empty account, I've made a sideblog to avoid any level of harassment that has been aimed at my peers.

Considering the only public response so far has been a lukewarm call for everyone to break it up, we need to do a lot more than just reblog and retweet posts condemning what happened (as important as that is for awareness).

Krinkels discord is just @/krinkels. [email protected] is a public email on his Facebook account. Directly make your displeasure with the continued fostering of the alt right in this fandom KNOWN and UNAVOIDABLE so it can finally be addressed.

The public sexual harassment of a minor has been defended publicly by AngelDrawRus, the thumbnail artist for the plushie advertisments. Privately, one of the main individuals calling this out has been contacted, berated, and privately smeared as someone who spreads false allegations by a well known member of the community/someone who has contributed to Madness itself, but doesn't even feel safe enough to publicly come out with who due to the harassment him and his peers have already faced. This is completely unacceptable, and we need to make a fuss until something happens.

hi im gonna be kinda cringe and Heavily Honest for a quick minute.

i am unfortunately the friend in question, and its fucking insane to me that the stance that sexual harassment is bad has gotten me cut off by people, some of which are involved on some level with the madness franchise itself. ive been made to feel like an insane person who is purposely and maliciously spreading false allegations, even when what they did is public. one of my partners has even received pretty detailed threats. im honestly worried that ive socially nuked myself out of being able to ever safely participate in this fandom again, outside of friend circles, which sucks because i was already trying to overcome being so intimidated by the tumblr fandom after a fallout with other people within community at almost the same time last year x_x.

i dont regret any of it, and id fucking do it all again because it was the right thing to do and barely anyone else was doing it. i am just begging that others dont let this shit lie until we actuxally reach a proper conclusion in regards to these pieces of shit. i honestly am at a point where the shit twitter has put me through has me in an incredibly paranoid state, and suicidal at some of the lowest points. ive lost people and places i had previously respected immensely. i just hope it wont all have been for nothing.

the people who think it’s okay to harass minors via making sexual jokes need to be condemned. please put them on blast and please get those individuals banned from major public spaces including the MPN discord. this problem should NEVER be cast aside as a “well it’s just trolls”.
