✿It had taken quite a bit of convincing on his part to get you to agree to go to the horror amusement attraction in town with him.
✿He even said he chose one of the less scary haunted house there for the two of you to go through, so that you wouldn’t be too scared.
✿Of course he didn’t admit that was the reasoning, he claimed it was because the tickets were the cheapest, but a quick google search proved him wrong.
✿And at first you were hesitant, of course, but once you realize that you’d have Bakugou with you, and that it would be a good excuse to hug him, even in the times that you weren’t scared.
✿You started to look forward to it even.
✿What you didn’t know, however, was that Bakugou had just so happened decided to brag about his brilliant date idea to his squad.
✿And oh boy did that go bad for you quick.
✿Kirishima brought up the idea of going to scariest attraction there.
✿But your top quality boyfriend explained that he wouldn’t want to do that to you.
✿And then Kaminari just had to speak up.
✿”Oh come on, we all know that he’s just using Y/N as an excuse to not go in that one--”
✿Oh boy, that really did burst a vein.
✿Katsuki loomed over the defect pikachu with a killer look in his eye.
✿”What did you just say?!”
✿”I’m just saying that you’re too much of a wimp to go to the scary haunted house.”
✿”WANNA REPEAT THAT AGAIN YOU--”
✿He couldn’t even finish before Kaminari interjected again.
✿”I mean, even Deku is going into the scarier one, I guess he has more balls than you.”
✿”IS THAT A CHALLENGE?? I’M GOING TO PROVE YOU SO WRONG!”
✿He was so determined that he completely forgot to tell you what was happening.
✿It wasn’t until he saw you heading towards the line of the haunted house he told you the two of you would do that he realized what he just did.
✿He just mentally panicked for a moment before clearing his throat and saying with a tone harsher than intended, “That’s the wrong line, baka.”
✿”But this is the one you said--”
✿A hesitant nod was given, and you followed him to the line of the scariest haunted house there.
✿It was at that point you realized that you were in for a nightmare.
✿You could hear people screaming all the way from the end of the line, which did not help your rising anxiety.
✿Bakugou being completely silent and with his gaze to the ground didn’t help either.
✿If you listened carefully enough, you could hear him occasionally mutter quietly to himself.
✿”Godammit what did I just do-”, “-but I’m going to beat that damn Deku”, “-ugh, what am I doing?”, "but y/n…"
✿It seemed like he was debating with himself for what seems like forever.
And it wasn't that hard for you to notice
✿It took you a lot of courage to speak up, but you were able to hesitantly tell him not to worry about you.
✿A smirk formed on his face as he was filled with determination, though there was no denying the small look of hesitation and worry laced in his eyes.
✿You both knew you were about to regret everything.
✿The haunted house was how you could expect it to go, you screaming for dear life as you clung to your boyfriend.
✿At least that was how it went until you felt him tense and flinch in response to one of the clown jumpscares.
✿It took you out of the moment for a second, and made you forget where you were.
✿It took all your energy to not ask if he was scared of you, since you were truly a clown, let's be honest.
✿Using all that energy not to ask the question made you forget to not laugh.
✿And as a result a bright giggle escaped you and a sharp glare was returned, only making you giggle more.
✿Through giggles, you couldn't help but asking
✿"Aww… did poor bakugou get scared…?"
✿You couldn't help but go ;o
✿"N-NO!!! Get your damn ears checked!!"
✿You almost let out another giggle when you felt one of the clowns, which was crawling on the ground, made contact with your ankle, causing you to let out an ear-piercing screech
✿Bakugou took the distraction to his advantage, grabbing your hand and quickly leading you further into the haunted house.
✿You could swear you were almost done until another clown popped up suddenly, and all you could hear was your own scream, Bakugou angrily yelling, what sounded like a punch, and the thumb of someone falling to the ground
✿Now you may wonder what just happened.
✿When you turned to face the scene of the crime, you saw Bakugou yelling at an unconscious clown on the ground and you could see security running up to him.
✿That's right, your man just punched one of the clowns. And pretty hard too.
✿They separated the two of you for a little bit, which worried you until you got a message from Kaminari
✿"So… how did you two like the scariest haunted house in town? I bet Katsuki cried lmao. I wanna see it all on film, he needs to show me the footage they take to prove he did it"
✿That's when you realized why you had gone in the scarier one
✿For your boyfriends damn ego
✿And sure, you still had a bit of fun, especially with the adrenaline pumping through your veins
✿But he did that to you for Kaminari? Really?
✿Oh you were going to get revenge, and you were ever so grateful that he told you about the footage.
✿It took a lot of bartering to get the lady at the booth to give it to you, since it had the footage of your explosive hothead absolutely PUMMELING an employee, but she eventually gave in.
✿And you hid the USB it was on in your purse before going to find him again.
✿You were the true winner here.
✿And long story short, you now had a new pinned tweet on your twitter.
✿Boy was he outraged when he saw it.
✿But despite his tries to delete it, you had an infinite stash of backups.
✿Did it kill his ego for a bit?

✿Todoroki has never been to a Haunted House before and, honestly, he never really wanted to
✿It was strange to him how people went out of their way to purposely put themselves through that fear
✿(Or worse, what if the design and decorations were poorly done and the whole thing was just pitiful?)
✿But you really want to go and Shouto thinks you look so adorable in your costume, there’s no way he can say no
✿So the two of you go on a “cute” haunted house date during Halloween and Todoroki ends up thinking this is one of the best ideas you’ve ever had
✿When the two of you enter the dark hallway, he holds your hand the entire time
✿Not because he’s scared, but because he just wants to hold your hand
✿His fingers are laced through yours, providing a comforting warmth that made you smile despite the jumpscares around each corner
✿As you walk down the middle of the hallway, Todoroki absentmindedly says aloud, “I wonder how easy it would be to get possessed by a demon right now.”
✿Your eyes widen and you have to stop yourself from ripping your hand out of his and running out of the damn maze
✿“Would you still be with me if I were possessed?”
✿Though you know he’s not trying to tease you, you find yourself spooked and give him a light slap against his chest
✿“Don’t say things like that!” you cry. “You never know what’s lurking out there on Halloween!”
✿After apologizing profusely and assuring you would both be safe, you huff, wiping your clammy palms against your thighs before snuggling back closer to him
✿At one particular part of the haunted house, an actor dressed as a bloody, life-sized puppet crawls your way and Todoroki thinks your scream is loud enough to be heard outside the house
✿You have a frightened look on your face as the worker reaches out to grab the loose fabric of your costume and you try desperately to burrow closer into Shouto’s chest
✿The puppet skims his bloody prop against your ankle and you yelp, squeezing your eyes shut as you hide your face against his shoulder
✿He puts a protective arm around you, glaring at the actor for going too far
✿“Hey, it’s okay, Y/L/N,” he murmurs into the crown of your head, talking in a soothing tone. “I got you.”
✿Somehow, after a couple of tears and a lot more screams, you manage to make it out of the haunted house
✿Your eyes are wide and your breathing is heavy and Todoroki almost pulls you into a hug and asks if you want to have some hot chocolate to calm down, but before he can, your face breaks out into a wide grin
✿“THAT WAS THE BEST HAUNTED HOUSE EVER!” you exclaim, jumping up and down as the two of you round the corner of the street.
✿“But...weren’t you scared the whole time?”
✿“Yes, that’s what made it so fun! We’re definitely going to do that again next year!”
✿Todoroki’s cheeks heat up at your promise
✿He didn’t understand the appeal of a haunted house, but after hearing you say you want to be with him for another year made him rethink that opinion
✿“Next year sounds good,” he says quietly, causing you to glance up at him in shock.
✿You and Shouto share a small smile before you hum in agreement, nuzzling closer to him as the two of you walk down the street to the train station
✿Maybe good things can come out of haunted houses after all
