"Echo drawing" is the tag for my art (Im so sorry im REALLY bad at tagging my art ill do it more but i suggest checking out my twitter archive)

im your local butch who makes art for a hobby and has been into minecraft for over half of his young adult life. I am tumblr-illiterate (which all of my friends clown me for) so please be patient with me!

by "mcyt" it means I have a foot in many mcyt spaces including dsmp, life series, empires smp, aphmaus series, white pine, etc. so don't be surprised if you see me everywhere. I also was in a life series myself (woven life and sands of life), its basically me and my friends OCs and I'm entirely normal about them all the time (lying). I'm actually normal about all my friends ocs all the time.

I made an OC with my friend, chris, back in 2024 for the capture the myrkul dnd au, that started as my character (Sirius) being like NPC #5, but has slowly devolved to the point where theyre the most nasty doomed siblings ever. Their playlist is "genesis 4:8" if that tells anyone anything. and im sooooo fucking normal about them. man. maannnnnnnnNNNNNNN.

yeah what if we were both orphans and raised in this death cult together, and we're "brothers", because we're all the other has. But our guardian pitted us against the other constantly. so our whole relationship is us bullying and trying to "one up" the other. And as we get into our teenage years we both become more violent, angry, and destructive, then YOU got picked to be the executioner in one of the most important rituals we've ever done. and im fucking furious because i had done everything right and worked so hard. but YOU got chosen to do the execution. so our last interaction is us beating eachother raw, almost killing the other.

and before we even get a chance to process that fight, you THEN SPIT IN THE FACE OF EVERYTHING WE'VE WORKED FOR after you have a lapse in faith and go run off with your new found family/polycule to put a blasphemous god back together. leaving me behind, more angry than ever.

one way i get out of the house when im stressed is by "backyard stormchasing" i basically keep an eye on the forecast, and if i spot a fun storm on the way I will go find a lookout point from the direction its coming from, and just watch it roll in.

I live in a place where those big tornado warned storms are rare, but I still get to have some fun. :)

best case scenario Digital Circus gets remembered in a similar way as Steven Universe: a show that was Really Fucking Good and had nuanced characters and interesting things to say, but the audience wasn't quite ready for it and it imploded into a discourse ball. four years from now I expect to see lesbians drawing Jax like she's a renaissance muse the same way people still draw Pearl or Lapis

c! captain puffy on the dream smp is butch to me, im projecting a little as someone who IS butch but hear me out

for those who don't know, a butch lesbian is someone who uses a masculine identity or gender presentation, but is not a man. some butches are women, some are transmasc, etc etc. The label has a lot of historical meaning behind it, and I highly suggest one does their own research. I don't want to get into queer history in much detail here but thats the important stuff one should know.

My strongest arguement is that Puffy canonically uses masculine words or nicknames for herself, whilst not referring to herself as a man. (papa puffy, dad, etc. we are ignoring the "puff daddy" shaped elephant in the room. ). She does still occasionally dress femininely, but often times tends to lean more into her tomboyish nature and uses masc terms.

Puffy also tends to take on more traditionally masculine roles or jobs. Both in her relationships (gifting c niki the promise ring) and within her community (repairing blown up builds constantly).

A big part of her character is her chivalry, protective nature, strong sense of justice, kindness, and going out of her way to serve her community. Doing all of these things even at the cost of her own well being. For example, attacking the egg even though it was literally killing her because she was trying to free her friends minds.

Often times you can see her also taking on the role of protector, for Eret by being their knight briefly, but also bad, tommy, skeppy, etc.

Whilst those traits alone don't make someone butch, nor do all butches have these same traits, but it's something I noticed as someone who IS butch. We always need more representation. I always really liked c!puffys character but could never put a finger on why

imagine your only surviving family member is your dad who can’t even be the dad he wants to because there’s a goddamn demon possessing him that hates you, meaning that the nice girl you met in high school who vowed to be your friend so you two weren’t alone was quite literally the only reason you weren’t completely alone anymore. And of course when a guy a little older than you with the social skills of an alpha male podcaster starts trying to teach you how to flirt you’re gonna stick around, as unintentionally bad of an influence as he is, because who else do you have to turn to? Your dad acts strict and mean out of nowhere but at least this kid can act as a friend and mentor. And then you’ve been shaped into someone completely unlike the person you once were mistaking ignorant confidence for some kind of charm or charisma. You can’t hold a healthy relationship, only getting a second chance with the love of your life as part of a fake-dating charade as part of a lie towards your suddenly unequivocally loving dad. And as you start to lose the gross act over the years, learning from your mistakes, and become the kind, caring kid you once were, you get a taste of family before the same GODDAMN DEMON of all things that you now know stole your childhood steals your dad’s life as he tries to at the very least accompany you so you don’t die alone, has you steal the souls of hundreds of people temporarily, kills and injures people you love or their loved ones, objectifies and turns your girlfriend (and good friend) into a soldier, has that same girl from highschool be driven to stabbing you literally in the back, causes your witch friend to lose her magic, causes your other friend to go blind and lose all memories of people he loved, and this all happens in front of your eyes and you can’t stop it because now he’s possessing you. And now you’re the last member of not just your family but your entire bloodline. And you’ll never know that you were meant to be the reincarnation of yourself who was given a second chance. Because in another life centuries ago you and your mother sacrificed everything— your freedom, your acceptance, a chance at community— to stop the same demon that would outlive and plague your family despite everything you gave. All your mother wanted was for you to be free. She died for that. You didn’t want to wield a relic, you didn’t want to scare anyone. You just wanted to protect them and do good, even if it took a toll on you socially, mentally, and physically. And yet despite it all, you were always doomed to be lonely and filled with guilt and grief you were never at fault for because of the demon whose last name you carry. You’re finally free of him, but the burden he placed upon you may take the rest of your lifetime to heal.

Still, that nice girl is there healing with you. Maybe you’re destined to be lonely, but when it comes to people who love you, family by blood or not, you won’t be alone.
