Seeing Schmelle and Lukasz leaving and knowing that Marco will probably leave sooner rather than later makes me so emotional, because for me it’s like an era just being over.

Lukasz and schmelle, those two were here for it all. Like they’ve been here when we just fucking won the Bundesliga twice and then the Pokal as well. They were there when we made it to the Champions league finale, when we beat Madrid, when we managed to turn around a game in 69 seconds.

They were there and they were on the pitch, never being part of the louder group, but just as important. They’ve seen our temporary star players come and go, from Götze, to Shinji, to Lewy, to Auba, to Jadon, to Erling. Like they’ve been here when Klopp got send off the pitch. Multiple times.

And I don’t know how many of the people who are celebrating on here tonight have been here between 2012 - 2015 but I remember how close most of us fans were. Like every Saturday, we’d listen to the netradio together, cause none of us could afford sky and why would we when Nobby is right there, we’d instantly reblog every piece of information we could get our hands on, most of us were crushing on at least one player... And then we kinda grew out of it and a lot of ppl left tumblr and that’s cool and all, but I sometimes remember the absolut panic I’d go through before every game and how I’d relate to Aki, cause I too wanted to hide out in the washrooms.

And now two of the three players who were there during that experience are retiring and it’s a little like saying goodbye to people who have been with you for years. And then, when Marco leaves it’s just gonna be like a door closing behind something so incredibly meaningful and I’m not sure if I’m ready to say goodbye to that.

Doch, bin ziemlich oft im Stadion, aber nur bei den “kleineren” Spielen. Das stört mich auch nicht, ich gehe zu jedem Spiel gern. Würde aber halt auch gerne mal bei einem Derby dabei sein. 

Klar, wenn du mir erklären kannst, wie ich “einfach mal ne Dauerkarte” bekomme, mache ich das gerne. Stehe seit Jahren auf der Warteliste…
