It's summer in some parts of the world while it's dry season here in my country Indonesia. What's your summer makeup looks like? I saw @ponysmakeup tutorials about her daily summer makeup and also a latest Japanese makeup trend in Japan by gyaru model Matsuzaki Marin on Kawaii Pateen YouTube channel. There is similarity on both makeup which is an orange coral makeup on eyes cheeks and lips. I always love this color! And I think it looks beautiful on a lot of skin tones. Trendy, beautiful, edgy, yet natural! I also tried this summery makeup look and love it. I paired it with a brown eyebrows and liner so that it looks softer on my face like Pony did. This is the girl from before. And this is the picture at her #promgraduationday . I did her makeup a week ago and forgot to upload it. In the end the makeup is different from the trial makeup before. I didn't tightline her under eyes like before. Also I change her cheek and lip color to a girly pink color. I can say that the eye makeup is lighter than before because I didn't put too many dark color on the outer corner of her eyes. Her lashes are so long and thick and just as long as the falsies that I put on her eyes. For her hair, I curled it loosely, braid it and half up do her long hair. The last Sunday I did a trial makeup for one of my family. She need makeup for her graduation day ceremony. Since she's still young (15 yo), I don't want to put too many makeup on her young face. Very minimum on her face but I played a lot with her eyes and lips. For the lips I chose I gradation lips that looks good on her skin. I still confuse what should I do with her hair though.. It's been a loooong time since I posted about makeup. Yep! It's just that since I got a new job almost all of my time and energy spent for it. And when I have a free time, I prefer to spend it with my friends, @lucky_r12 or my family. This is my makeup style lately. Neutral eyes with dark brown eyeliner, peachy coraly cheek, a gradient typical korean lips, and a light brown eyebrow mascara. That eyebrows will look suitable with a lighter hair and I really want to dye my hair too. On this #edelynerereesygiveaway #makeupchallenge I chose a pin-up girl look. Pin-up girls are famous for their bright red and juicy full lips, a perfect high arched brows, a bold winged eyeliner, and a victory rolls hairstyle. They don't particularly used significant color eyeshadow so I chose a silvery white eyeshadow from my @nyxcosmetics palette on my eyelids and to highlight under the browbone. Since I don't have deep set eyes I used @vivacosmetics eyeshadow coklat with creamy texture to define my crease and also used it as a contour. I defined my high arched brows using @sariayu_mt pencil eyebrow in black. For the lips, since I don't have a bright true red matte lipstick, I combined @sariayu_mt lipstick in Marunda, @wardahbeauty red matte lipstick in Maroon Lovers and a lil bit @nyxcosmetics red matte eyeshadow to further enhance the color and texture. Lastly, I paired this look with baby pink blush from #InezCosmetics in Amaranth Pink and highlight my cheek using @vivacosmetics creamy eyeshadow putih. Wooah that was pretty long explanation! Not satisfied with the lip color from my first attempt recreated @michellephan look: How to Look Like a Bad Girl, I tried to recreate it again. This time I mixed red matte lipstick from @wardahbeauty with @nyxcosmetics black matte eyeshadow to achieve deeper darker lip color. Still, the color doesn't showed up as dark as in real life. Yeah whatever.. So, because I thought the before picture is too ordinary and too elegant, this time I'm wearing black clothes, piercing, and styled my hair a little. Don't worry, it's not a real piercing, it's my DIY earcuffs actually. I wanted to look like a badass girl but somehow I look like a visual kei singer here. lol XDD Am I imagining Hyde when I did this look? I think people who know me would be really surprised to see this picture. Do I look "Bad" enough already? This would be my first attempt to recreate a @michellephan look: How to Look Like a Bad Girl to enter a #makeupchallenge by @sasyachi . I had no problem recreating the eye makeup, but somehow the lip is just not as dark as how it looks in the real life. Well, maybe because I created the lip color using brown eyeshadow and red lipstick so the color not as opaque as it should be. Should I used @nyxcosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania or Copenhagen instead to achieve that color? It's a middle of the night in my country and here I am playing with makeup and slowly but sure my eyes is becoming red because the softlenses and the sleepiness. :p I just found out that a boring grey smokey eyes look fun and playful yet still elegant by adding blue in the inner corner of my eyes. I also using a trick to make eyes look slightly lifted in without using a smokey eyes. Hmm.. maybe I should write a blog post about it. This is what happened when me and @bibi_iyen visited makeup stores. We went home with my hands full of swatches and I got all kinds of makeup tried on her. Purple eyeshadow all over her eyes completed with purple liner, nude lipstick and same tone blush. Had so much fun today. And it's been so long since I went to makeup stores. If there is the day when I turned a beautiful girl into a scary ghost it will be those days when I helped my friends to do makeup for their short movies. It was really sudden and I forgot to brought my eyeshadow palette. Luckily my friend @helvaretta (which is happened to be a girl in this picture) brought @nyxcosmetics eyebrow kit in cool toned brown color and a bright red matte revlon lipstick. So I only used them for this whole look on the eyes, lips, and shadings, since I didn't bring any other makeup. I'm so relieved that I can at least made her look scary despite the limited makeup I had. The other day on my Sunday Girl's Day with my friend @zsahime we barter a knowledge. She taught me how to cook and I taught her a few things I knew about makeup. For a Day Makeup Look, I like natural makeup look and what I did to her only enhance the beauty she's already have instead of covering anything. Peachy gold eyeshadow all over her eyes to brighten it up (always work for everyone!), peachy pink cheek, and a natural peach lipstick. I didn't do much to her perfectly shaped eyebrows, just brush and reshaped it a lil bit.
