You know the funniest thing about SK8 the Infinity or whatever? Langa and Reki, simply do not care. They don't give a shit. The whole series, ADAM is making ominous biblical lusty threats towards Langa and Langa is NEVER paying attention, Reki is too busy having a mental crisis/coming of age moment to pay attention to the guy that literally beats the shit out of him, but at no point are they like 'maybe we are being treated in an odd way' or 'maybe we should find out more about Adam' because they don't give a shit.
They never approach Joe and Cherry like 'we need to know the TRUTH about Adam' because they're too busy dapping each other up in an abandoned skate park. Reki gets hit by a car by someone connected to Adam and when Snake goes projecting all his issues he's like 'okay whatever, unrelatable'. Langa brings up 'I wonder why Adam skates' ONE TIME, and they're like 'it's probably because he enjoys it, no other possible reason'. They don't care about his shady past with Cherry and Joe. They don't care that he's a politician. They simply have two priorities and it's each other and skating.
It's so funny to me that they're THIS apathetic to the main antagonist. Himbo's wish they could be this dumb.

A piece has never consumed me quite like this one did. I spent every spare minute making DOTS for A WEEK. I skipped class to work on this! I SKIPPED ORGANIC CHEMISTRY. I LOVE ORGANIC CHEMISTRY ANDI SKIPPED IT FOR THIS.
Because this was an assignment for my drawing class, it was very well documented.
This assignment was called The Vehicle Project.
Firstly, we needed to explore all the directions we could go, which was a problem for me since I decided I was making Iron Lung fanart for this project after I had seen the movie. As a part of this, we needed to explore different objects that could be incorporated, but again, I was dead set on making that submarine lol.
Because our vehicle needed a minimum of two wheels, I needed to adjust the submarine’s design a little bit and decided to put water wheels in those tube things.
And then my next decision was to make the eldritch eel using stippling (shading with dots). On my 18 x 24 inch paper…
Pro tip: Don’t do that if you have any self respect.
I spent days stippling, getting what felt like zero progress done.
And then the dots were finished.
And then I have no progress shots of me painting it because I was deliriously painting until 5 AM the morning it was due. I do have what I submitted though.
And I didn’t like it lol. Don’t trust any decision made after 3 AM, pro tip. I revisited it over a week after submitting it and got rid of the pink on its face (what was I thinking?) and made the text brighter and more luminous.
Weirdly enough, the most miserable part of this project wasn’t even the stippling. I got used to that, it was relaxing even. The fucking letters gave me the most trouble. I hate painting letters never make me do it again <- gonna have to do it again.
Anyways that has been my contribution to the Iron Lung hype on this lovely site.
