Elemental (2023) / Zootopia 2 (2025)
part 1
but what about "in my defense, i have none for digging up the grave another time" and "what if your eyes looked up and met mine one more time?" and "will i always wonder?"
“The Birth of Venus” by Adolph Hirémy Hirschl
Anton Chekhov, from "The Darling" in The Complete Works
Trying focus on the plot of Zootopia 2 but getting distracted by Judy and Nick being one of the best ships to exist.
Oh poor Dustin, the grief he carries with him is so overlooked and disregarded. With Max, everyone got it (doesn't make it any less painful obviously). But the kind of loss, pain, rage and helplessness he is feeling isn't nothing. What makes this different is that he saw himself in Eddie. He saw the good, bad and ugly of being the "freak" and loved it anyhow. Dustin and his friends have been misunderstood all their lives but Eddie became a refuge for them to accept themselves but they kind of lost that in school, when they lost him.
Plus the serious arguing and not-fun banter between Steve and Dustin was a long time coming but aggravated by this loss. Some wounds don't recover by being around loved ones and some loved ones cannot wait around till you recover to start missing who you were before. Neither are at fault. Only time can heal.
They better combine the two duos now (Steve and Dustin & Robin and Will)
Its just so beautiful for a queer character who has spent the majority of his life being made fun of for being "different" finally understand that his sensitivity and vulnerability have never been the weakness. For Henry to call him weak and then have Will have his awakening in mere seconds because his loved ones are in danger showed how fiercely he loves. It shows the power of acceptance in a queer person's life because that can unlock something, that is so unique about the community; their extraordinary quality to love.

what “you’re like a sorcerer” and “you’re the heart” will do to a mf
Completely and utterly shattered while watching Frankenstein (2025) because what do you mean the Creature in the book and movie are treated differently but exactly the same. Its almost as if the knowledge of one makes the other feel worse.
Jacob Elordi I'll handmake you the Oscar myself.
Frankenstein has had a profound impact on me and I am yet to watch the 2025 adaptation. Whether the book has been done justice or not, won't matter to me and the film will still deeply impact me.
There is a thin line between a good book to movie adaption and a bad one. What treads on that line are the kind that simply let you enjoy the story through more than one medium. It doesn't have to be perfect. It just has to touch a nerve.
Reading Frankenstein is like a gut punch after gut punch because the self-loathing almost every main character possesses is the number one indication for the need for human connection. Not only does it speak about loss of love and companionship but also the loss of something you can't describe or don't even know exists. The violent need of wanting to be understood or to call someone your own.
The way it's written alone showcases how stories narrated by people may affect you. It's a privilege to live in a world where you are truly heard by your companions or strangers or anyone willing to form a connection. Because that's what we do best as humans.

Reputation called she wants her cunt back.
“Joe Goldberg seems so out of character this season” no y’all are just easily manipulated by charisma and a sad backstory which makes you overlook blatant misogyny and manipulation.
He’s always been this pathetic and weak. It’s just only now that the show runners put a little more emphasis on it because his mask is slipping. An inevitability, really, especially after everything he’s gotten away with.
