A Dragonfly is a link to the past, a promise for the future and a reminder of the magic of the moment.
So, back when Wolfboy and I were just falling in love, we had decided to go on a midnight walk through this forested park. We noticed a dragonly, still on the ground. He picked it up, assuming it was dead. But the warmth of this hands woke him, and it began to slowly move its wings. It stayed on his hand, and we adopted him as our companion for the night. He walked with us through the dark, shadowed trees, and gazed at the reflection of the moon and stars on a pond. Despite the beauty of our surroundings, our attention was held mostly on the dragonfly. At the end of the night, when we needed to go each to our own homes, he gave the dragonfly a blessing and left it to rest on a tree branch. It was bitterly cold, and I can’t assume that we saved the dragonfly that night, but we did give him a night full of beauty and love.
With that in mind, my favorite way to use this spread is as a relationship spread, though I’ll also outline a method to read for yourself using it.

To read this spread for only yourself, read cards 1, 2, 3, 5 as above. Cards 4, 6, 7 will each represent a lesson that you should take from cards 1, 2, and 3.
My apologies for the weird card numbering. I kinda messed up when doing the layout photo and I’m too lazy to reorder it into any logical sense. But really, what do the numbers matter anyway?
