Let’s have awkward Hermione headcanons...
Hermione was socially awkward in the books (the films decided to make her into a all-round perfect person, but that’s not my point), so we should have more headcanons about her being awkward…
Hermione accidentally saying ‘love you too’ when Ron tells her to ‘have a lovely christmas’ at the end of term in first year, and both of them blushing red.
Hermione getting all the Weasley siblings’ names mixed up, and Fred and George trying not to burst out laughing when she keeps apologising for it.
Hermione accidentally calling Professor McGonagall ‘mum’ during a lesson, and McGonagall being slightly touched by it, but Hermione goes bright red and slams her head against the desk in frustration.
Hermione briefly thinking that Lavender and Parvati had crushes on Professor Trelawny in fourth year, and getting all flustured when they ask her what on earth she’s talking about.
Hermione being all awkward around Angelina Johnson in her first few years at Hogwarts because she admired her Quidditch ability, and her coolness (not to mention her ability to make her hair look awesome, something Hermione hadn’t accomplished yet).
Hermione being really conscious of her bushy hair in fourth year, and trying desperately to make it look less ‘enormous’. Hermione blushing scarlet and getting all flustered when Ron offhandedly says that he thinks her hair always looks great.
Hermione tripping over her feet and falling into Ron’s arms all the time during their fifth year, and both of them getting all embarrassed over it. Harry trying not to snigger when this happens, and giving Hermione a knowing look.
Hermione being all unsteady on her feet after her and Ron kiss for the first time, and she keeps accidentally touching his hand when they are picking up the basilisk fangs.
Hermione accidentally kissing Ron on the nose because she miscalculated her jump to his face. Ron not minding at all, because he loves her adorable awkwardness.
