silas' life has purposely revolved around his career. never dared to dream less than to the extremes, and against all odds, he did it. touring the world, travelling from country to country, writing music — what could possibly be amiss ? for a long time, nothing. his life was picturesque. his career growing steadily, the perfect partner in life, at least, until about a year ago. silas realised the imperfections, his schedule impossible to upkeep, the distance tearing holes, but not once did he ever consider she'd have broken up with him. not once, did he consider his heart would still be aching even a year later. but how could it not ? breaking up was never his intention. all he ever wanted was to protect her from a world she hadn't chosen herself. still, he understood. she deserved better, and that's how he convinced himself to stay away for so long, opting to drown himself in his work, but considering he mostly writes what he feels, moving on was never a real option. after so long, finally, he decided he couldn't let her go. at least, he knew he had to try once more. sporting a cap, in hopes of keeping himself incognito for as long as possible, silas approached her by the bar alone when she was ordering drinks, sliding some cash across the counter before she could and then adding a beer to the tab. "my treat." he pauses, yet uncertain how to proceed, until finally his mahogany hues drifted in her direction. "having fun ?"
