Steve Rogers did, in fact, realize that something was off when he saw the outline of the womanās odd bra (a push-up bra, he would later learn), but being an officer and a gentleman, he said that it was the game that gave the future away.
#EXCUSE ME MAāAM BUT YOUR TITTIES ARE NOT CONES IāM CALLING BULLSHITĀ (via)
No, see, this scene is just amazing. The costume department deserves so many kudos for this, itās unreal, especially given the fact that they pulled off Peggy pretty much flawlessly.
1) Her hair isĀ completely wrong for the 40ās. No professional/working woman Ā would have her hair loose like that. Since theyāre trying to pass this off as a military hospital, Steve would know that she would at least have her hair carefully pulled back, if maybe not in the elaborate coiffures that would have been popular.
2) Her tie? Too wide, too long. Thatās a manās tie, not a womanās. They did, however, get the knot correct as far as I can see - that looks like a Windsor.
3) That. Bra. There is so much clashing between that bra and what Steve would expect (remember, he worked with a bunch of women for a long time) that itĀ has to be intentional. Sheās wearing a foam cup, which would have been unheard of back then. Itās also an exceptionally old or ill-fitting bra - why else can you see the tops of the cups? No woman would have been caughtĀ dead with misbehaving lingerie like that back then, and the soft satin cups of 40ās lingerie made it nearly impossible anyway. Her breasts are also sitting at a much lower angle than would be acceptable in the 40ās.
Look at his eyes. He knows by the time he gets to her hair that something is very, very wrong.

Searching ā241543903ā in Google Images shows you numerous photos of people sticking their heads inside freezers.
This crazy meme began in 2009, when Tumblr artist David Horvitz posted random instructions to his followers. The number 241543903 was a combination of the serial number on his refrigerator, and the barcodes on a bag of edamame and a package of soba noodles he had in the freezer.

This theory about Tony Stark having PTSD will change how you see the MCU
In the first Avengers movie, Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, has to save humanity by traveling through a wormhole and suicide-bombing an alien armada. Somehow, he falls back to Earth and, defying all odds, is physically fine. But his mental health takes the brunt of the abuse. He develops post-traumatic stress disorder ā and it shapes every movie thereafter.

Surviving Panic Attacks
How to handle your panic attacks and anxiety attacks, step by step.
Retreat. If you feel phobic, exit the situation until anxiety subsides. Retreat is a temporary leave until you feel better. Escape can reinforce your phobia.
Talk to another person. This helps get your mind off of symptoms and anxious thoughts.
Move around. Dissipates extra energy/adrenaline created by fight-or-flight reaction. Instead of resisting, you move with it.
Stay in the present. Focus on concrete objects around you in your immediate environment. Try actually touching objects.
Engage in a simple repetitive activity.
unwrap and chew gum
count
snap rubber band
sing
wet towel on face
Ā Ā Ā 6. Do something that requires focused concentration.
read a book or magazine
puzzles
knit/sew
write
Ā Ā Ā 7. Express anger. If you can physically express anger rather than just talking, you may be able to stop the panic attack before it blows up.
pound on a pillow or your bed
beat a pillow or cushion with a bat
scream into pillow
Ā Ā Ā 8. Experience something immediately pleasurable.
be held
pleasurable snack/meal
hot shower or bath
Ā Ā Ā 9. Visualize a comforting person/scene.
Ā Ā 10. Practice thought stopping.
take a deep breath then internally or externally say, āStopā!
replace anxious thoughts with calming and supportive statements (āI am calm. I am strongā).
snap a rubber band or splash cold water to disrupt thoughts
Ā Ā 11. Practice abdominal breathing. Breathe slowly and deeply from your abdomen.
Ā Ā 12. Practice muscle relaxation.
clench fists. Hold for 10 seconds, release and repeat.
