It is indeed true that out of all of the newspapers and magazines he provides content to, it is here that he feels most at ‘home’, if a workplace could be called by such a title. Despite its large size, in revenue, production, and the amount of employees, it is Jaejoong that never fails to make him feel more at ease with the work he is given, and so it is why he provides articles for them far more than anyone else.
Here, he never has to be worry about surprise changes, or harassment when a deadline is nearing. He is allowed to work at his own pace with little rush, so long as the content is delivered on time.
Eyes peek up from the papers now, having leaned to grab a pen from the man’s desk in order to aid in proof reading and annotations to the work of others, and as he settles comfortably back against the plush cushion of his seat, lips quirk up into an amused smile. “Articles, Kim. People to interview, things to look into. There’s a lack of quality stories available this week, and I was hoping you had something.”
Of course, he appreciates being able to just sit down and relax for a bit, but it’s then that he begins to grow antsy. With no other magazines or newspapers providing him with content to write, he’s stuck in his apartment with only the four walls and the sights out his window to keep him company. “I only have two stories from that one foodie magazine, and they’re both just five hundred word reviews of a local restaurant and a shop. I need something more interesting to keep me busy.”
His hand pauses from where it corrects a sentence on a passage, blinking once. Articles....right. He knew that.
Jaejoong resumes writing what he started on the paper before looking up at Zero once he finished. "Well...it really isn't my job to tell you what to do. I hired you because you provided great articles to me and the newspaper. My job is to overlook everyone else's work and edit. Your job is to write interesting stories." He leans back into the leather chair, the pencil swirling slightly between his forefinger and thumb. He normally doesn't even make eye contact with anyone but Zero is an definite exception. Only because he likes pushing the other's buttons and getting a reaction out of him.
Zero is much like himself. He likes to be left alone, enjoys to be in secluded areas. He doesn't talk much to others more than necessary and appreciates peace and quiet. No wonder Jaejoong feels so comfortable and so much like himself around Zero.
"Nothing interesting really went on this week....that I heard of that is. Just look around Eden. I'm sure you'll find something." Jaejoong nods once and continues with his work in front of him, a soft sigh slipping from his lips. Maybe if he finishes early this evening, he can find some interesting pieces of news himself and then get some much needed shut eye. His eyes are having trouble focusing on the work in front of him, burning for sleep with every blink but it doesn't bother him as much as the tower of papers that need to be edited for the time being does.
