Sirius is not jealous, he just loves what is his: clothes, trinkets, his motorbike, his friends (he doesn't growl when people approach, you heard wrong) and, of course, Severus.
He was jealous of Lily and Severus's relationship, and later Regulus, who was too close to Severus, in Sirius's opinion. Once, Sirius didn't talk to Remus for three days because Lupin gave Snape a textbook that fell out of a Slytherin's stack, but none of that mattered when he got his biggest enemy, Harry.
Harry was an amazingly sweet child, calm, cheerful, with such a beautiful smile that it was mesmerising and made you smile too. But Sirius knows better. Of all people, Harry chose Severus. He loves Snape, always reaching for him, grabbing his neck, kissing his cheeks, wanting to be picked up, and then returning to Sirius and looking into his eyes, clinging to Severus's clothes as he hugs the child.
No matter how much Sirius loves Harry, he will not give up his husband to him. Sirius hugs Severus tighter, and when the child calls Severus, he goes to play with Harry.
"Sirius, you're acting strange," Severus says at the end of the day.
"Nothing strange," Sirius is not paranoid, so he won't say anything.
"Sirius, I can see it," well, maybe he will say something.
"Have you ever noticed how Harry looks at you, or how he demands your attention?"
"... He's a year and a half old, Sirius, he's a child, did you hit your head so hard when you were a child?" Severus really believed that Sirius couldn't cross the line with his jealousy, but this was too much.
"No, Severus, you don't see | he looks as if..."
Sirius had many arguments that made no sense to Severus, but if you asked Harry, yes, he was still young, but when he grew up, he would definitely marry Severus.
