Two of the three convicted " West Memphis Three" will be released from prison. Now this may just be hear say however it was confirmed by Steve Branch (father of Stevie Branch, one of the boys who were heinously murdered). I've heard conflicting rumors that they will be released for admitting to the crime? However that makes no sense, but neither does our judicial system.

 Stay tuned if you have been a champion for the WM3, Friday should be the day everything is announced. Imagine walking out of prison 17 years after incarceration, wow. This is HUGE, HUGE, HUGE. I just wish I could grab the entire full story.

If you reside in Pennsylvania and do not want your property taxes raised by the same politicians who ran on the platform of cutting property taxes then e-mail your Senators now! Taking funding away from public education to give to private schools is not only ignorant it is unconstitutional.

Pennsylvania has made so many strides in their educational rankings in the United States and that has little to do with secular schools.

Tax the drilling on the Marcellus Shale! It sure didn't bring the 48,000 jobs first speculated instead brought 10,000. This is not helping Pennsylvania. Governments do not run without taxation and if you are going to raise taxes on the people why can you not raise taxes on natural gas extraction?

Pennsylvania's Anti-Gun Control HB40

 On June 10th 2010 the Pennsylvania Senate passed House Bill 40 which lowers the standards on when deadly force is acceptable in public places, including any situation in which one feels threatened and has the option of retreating yet chooses not to. House Bill 40 has already passed the Pennsylvania House in April of this year. To Mr. Corbett it goes and if his anti-public education agenda hints to anything this will be signed and ratified into Pennsylvania law.

   I am just going out on a limb here but however much money the gun lobbyists in Harrisburg paid to push this through must have been substantial. We live in a violent society, I wouldn't be surprised to say half of the country is desensitized to violence from the age of 15. After reading day in and day out that there was another shooting in Reading or Allentown the last thing we need is a law loosening the restrictions we put on guns. Before you start waving the United States Constitution at me and shouting "we have the right to bear arms" know that I am a proponent of protecting every human right, including the right to bear arms. I chose not to own a gun because I want no part of that feeling of power with a gun in my hand. My point is, loosening the law will do nothing but give a cover of protection to those who chose to use a gun as means of control over another accessible route.
