Greetings lurkers! I’ve come to make an announcement. I am going to take a break from the group to form the narrative. I was certainly a bit bold when starting, and now need to organize my thoughts and plans. However, the important thing to note is Eden will like come back as a CLOSED GROUP. I’m going to be refining the character list to see who we can use and who can be dropped in order to make the plot smaller. If you would like to be part of the group, or have a skeleton you are interested in, please contact the main directly, or at my personal @capricxs (I will get back to you faster at the latter)
If we come back to take applications at a later date, it is possible the skeleton you were previously interested in, will no longer be available. So now is your opportunity to contact the main to see if you would be able to swipe up the character you want!

I don’t! Mostly because it’s part of the plot development to find out the full extent of his powers.
The powers he would have displayed when being a vigilante was simple super strength, enhanced agility, basic telekinetic powers, and super intelligence. Hopefully that gives you enough to work with!
This is a stupid question but are the skeleton names the characters vigilante names as well, like do they have “proper” names, or are the skeleton names just for stylistic purposes and we can use something else?
Not a stupid question at all! The character names are meant to be their vigilante names as well, yes.
i apologise if i've missed something, but how can we write about a character's abilities, is there a list somewhere, i'm just a bit confused about that aspect of the application? thank you for your help!
I don’t have my own personal list, however, I would recommend using super power wiki. It makes coming up with, and understanding powers, so much easier! If you’re struggling with coming up with them, I might recommend staying on theme with the character you’re picking. You absolutely don’t have to if another idea inspires you, but it makes it a lot easier.
As for how you write about it in the application, we have the brief recap at the beginning, which you can just take as the power name. When you get to the portion later, I just want to see it fleshed out. What do they use their power for? Are they comfortable using it, or is it extremely dangerous and they don’t like to?
But also, not everyone has to have powers! Maybe they’re just trained in fighting. That could make that portion very simple for you.

You’re fine, there’s a lot of lore there so it can get a bit confusing. I’m here to help, though!
The Legion actually disbanded not long after the bill was passed. Anyone who is mentioned to be ‘new wave’ is strictly their own hero now. But, to help you out, these are the following characters who were part of the Legion
Zephyr, Vulcan, Titan, Lunar, Cogent, & Allure
The new wave heroes did not fight alongside those of the Legion members (you could maybe plot that out. I believe some heroes got permits and fought on their own after the Legion disbanded). They are completely different entities, representing the new and the old ways.
hi! i'd like to apply for vulcan but i'm aware allure is in play and they're obviously very closely linked. is there anything i should 100% know or take into account when it comes to vulcan just so i can incorporate that properly into my interpretation?
Well you’re in luck, because I write Allure! There’s nothing I can think of off the top of my head that is imperative to their connections to one another. Everything that is most important is in those skeletons. However, if there’s things you’re not sure about, you can always message us directly and I can help you out!

It’s funny you say that, because I don’t actually picture the aesthetic of this group as cyberpunk, but rather neo-noir. Allow me to geek out on the difference of the two because at face value they probably seem the same.
Neo-noir more so incorporates elements of the noir genre, but is more so gritty, with less futuristic elements. Things like Blade Runner, or The Fifth Element are what I think of when I hear cyberpunk. They have that extra layer to the future that is other worldly. Both films really lean into the futuristic element that makes the world unrecognizable. Neo-noir makes it feel like it is the same, or a similar world, but only slightly different. Movies like Drive, or Sin City, are more so neo-noir. Especially in the case of Sin City, they leaned into the retro feel of the 1940s noir. The hope is that the aesthetic here, takes elements that are retro and feel like that gritty noir mystery, but also with minor futuristic elements. And neon lights. Of course.
This isn’t a textbook difference just kind of what I've gathered. But thank you for letting me geek out for a moment, I worked really hard on coming up with an aesthetic, even if I’m the only one who has it. Anyways! I have my own pinterest board, which might help with some ideas, you can peep it here.
there's some connections to skeletons that i can't find, are those npcs?
Yes, you’re going to find that. We previously had two more characters on our roster that I had removed once we came back to the tags. Simple because of their lack of interest, and because I wanted our plot to be smaller once I considered the direction I was going.
They are, however, still characters, so yes, they will primarily be NPCs. I’ll probably use them in plots and still have them remain in what happens. This just means you have more creative control on what your relationship looks like with that character! I still have access to the skeletons, so if any of my members would like to see them, I’m more than happy for them to take a look so they can get a better idea.
So I apologize if there was any confusion but hopefully that clears it up!
Hi there! I've stumbled upon your rpg and I'm thinking about creating an app for Titan because his skeleton really spoke to me when reading through your characters. I was just wanting to know if you could give me a little more information on what you believe Titan's morals would be compared to Edens? I noticed you put something about them sometimes respectfully disagreeing about certain things and wondered who would have fallen where in moral arguments.
I’m so glad you’re taking an interest in Titan. They’re certainly a very interesting one and would be really cool to have in the dynamic.
To answer your question, I believe Titan and Eden had similar end results for their dreams. A realistic planet that had more harmony and functionality than it ever had before. They wanted to establish balance where there was none. However, they found differences in the way they both wanted those dreams executed. Titan is 100% a lawful good type. They wanted justice to play it’s role, determining what to do with it’s criminals, and put them in prison where they would be off the streets. It wasn’t that Eden didn’t believe in the justice system, but believes in the extensive shades of gray of humanity. Sometimes, even in the good times of their relationships, Eden would say things that sounded terrifying as his way to push through with justice. Titan didn’t think it was their job to fix the world, but just another tool to help. Eden believed that without them, the world would burn. Titan had (or has i supposed) a lot more faith in humanity than Eden ever did.

is it safe to say that this timeline ran more or less parallel to ours until 2020-ish? (wondering about pop culture and historical/cultural touchstones mostly)
It is safe to say, yes! Just because it’s easier, everything about our current culture is the same as in this universe.
would any of the skeletons been underage when they joined the legion? i.e. octave being 26 or so now depending on what age the mun makes them 11 years ago would have been 15, or is it just assumed that they would have joined several years into the creation of the legion?
Not every skeleton was part of legion. Octave, as you used in the example, is a newer vigilante, rather than part of the Legion. The easiest way to see this is on the character page, one of the categories is ‘new vigilante’ vs ‘legion member’
i believe the youngest possibility is in mercury, who would have been 19 when they started if the muse makes them 30. Lunar is the next one who has the ability to be pretty young.

The intent with Eden is that each character will play a role with the twists and turns that will occur following the course of the plot. That means I plan to take in a lot of the information regarding characters, and figuring out a way to put that into the plot that is exciting and shocking.
However, it’s important that I as an admin, and you as players, have an understanding between each other of what this means. These will grow to be your characters, and I want to respect that, along with the journey you have planned for them. But with the trajectory of this plot, it wouldn’t be exciting without twists of turns. Based off your comfort level, you can give me trust and permission to create plot twists that might shock you or your character (this doesn’t mean character death, that isn’t really something I plan for). If there are plot elements or values/goals your character has, that you do not want tampered with, I will respect your wishes completely. This is a fun environment, with a fun mysterious plot with lots of digging. I would like to have opportunities to create shocking twists, however, I wouldn’t want to do that without the comfort of other plays.
A DISCUSSION OF YOUR COMFORT REGARDING YOUR CHARACTER’S PLOT AND ARC IS REQUIRED. No matter if the conversation is short or long, and you have endless questions or none, it’s a conversation I value, and want to have with all members to make sure things are clear and we’re all having a good time.
I never fully mentioned how things will play out in this group. Mainly because I was still putting pieces together. Now that they are in place, and we have a group of lovely people to help with bringing this crazy story to life, I wanted to quickly go over what you can expect being part of this group. If you have questions, let me know!
First off, as members, your input will come into play often. I have the plot written out, but I want to include as much of your characters, and their lore into the story as I can. The twists and turns should be shocking and emotional! Because of that, I will be consistently messaging members for information regarding characters stories. However, if this seems uncomfortable for you, you can always opt out for the integrations. I wont give away any of my plans, but discussions will be had.
PLOT DROPS will occur frequently. I want to allow time for plot development as well as character development, so plot drops will likely occur every two or three weeks, or faster depending on plot or request. Typically these plot drops will be written out and posed similar to that of DnD. The information will be presented, and you will be posed with different choices you and your character can take. Different paths lead to different outcomes, and different information. It’s up to you, and what you believe your character would do/value, to make these choices.
Threads in these events will take place and that is mainly for character development. Most plot development will take place off-site (we will talk about that later) doing rapid-fire chats with an NPC to gather information. What you chsoe to do in these scenarios will result in different information being gathered. A note is you can partner with another character, and potentially gather more information. this means another person being included in the rapid-fire chats. At the end, it will be up to you, and again, the values of your character, to then share that information with other characters (sharing with other players is encouraged though, for the funsies!)
These plot drops are completely flexible in their workings, depending on what members want, because we want fun!
Discord is the intended way for most ooc-chatting to go. It’s a lovely platform that can allow for a lot off the scenes. It’s perfect for those rapid-fire plot advancing situations, and we can have a lot of opportunity to grow as a group. Having a strong group bond is important for making Eden last, and we want to see it until the end right? Find out the secrets? Discord is highly recommended, though if enough members aren’t comfortable with it, we can discuss alternatives. However, there will need to be a place for mass communication, since that’s how puzzle pieces are going to get put together here.

Are there any specific things you'd like to see in Alias' app?
I’d like to know what Alias has been doing since vigilante’s became part of culture, are they part of it or adamantly avoiding it. Also, the fact that they’ve been on this planet for so long, and we’ve hinted that maybe their feelings are just a little different from when they landed, so what changed?
I love Alias a lot, and they have a lot of room for different directions to go, so really I’d like to see whatever you have to say.
could any form of time travel exist in this universe??
Could it? sure. I would say it’s possible. We have aliens and androids and god-like beings. I think if you wanted to write time travel into your character, you’d have to know a lot about it and have it completely fleshed out rather than an additional trait. It also depends if it’s an ability or scientific advance. If it’s the later, that’s a huge deal and should be treated as such.
I would say treat it wisely, and carefully, but I think it’d be interesting to have it in this universe.
Regarding Equinox and Spectre, I was wondering if you had any specific ideas or suggestions for why equinox was kicked off their planet, or what spectre actually is (particularly given the alias connection), or if those are entirely up to the player to figure out? Also, this looks super cool!!!
So for Equinox, that is completely and fully up to the player the background of the muse, and the means which they left their home planet, so there’s complete fair reigns there.
For the most part, the same goes for Spectre. However, it’s very clear that something fishy happened with their birth, so they are not simply just a mutated human with gifts. Their powers stem from something that came form their unusual birth. The means of that birth is up to the player, and what sort of figure (be it religious or otherwise) was being worshiped, or otherwise something fishy. If it helps, the character was inspired by Raven from Teen Titans. I don’t want the circumstance of that character’s origin to be copied, but that gives you the mindset of what I was thinking. I want to see some creativity, and something that we can use for plot development, so my only thing is I don’t want it to be coincidental that they have powers.

I apologize if I missed this somewhere, but how long has it been since Solar's death?
Well, for the most part, that’s up to whomever writes Lunar (I’m not sure if you’re applying for Lunar or wanting to use Solar’s death as a reference). It’s been three years since the restoration bill was passed, and Solar’s death was not too far before that, I would think about 6 months before. If you’re planning to apply for Lunar, it shouldn’t be longer than 8 months since it’s supposed to represent the chaotic domino effect the lead to the beginning of the end.
