i found a cute little game called Fear less where you play as a girl running from death in her dreams to get stronger

the gameplay is real simple but addictive especially with its pretty rocking music

so i just played this game called the mirror lied

so i downloaded the free trial of rpg maker vx and it's really very easy to use. the main problem with it is that the finished game crashes easily on startup, but to avoid that one just has to leave it to load without moving the mouse, and it should run fine. i made a trial game using the premade tiles and sprites made with this- i'm uploading it to mediafire rn, but it might be tricky to get running, bc the witch's house was made with this program and is. so yeah. i'll post that on my own blog so i can tag everyone and make sure everyone sees it???? ok bye

i think that if we decide to make a rpg, this is the way to go. it's about £55, so if we all payed together it'd be pretty cheap. i don't think we should buy something like this yet, but if we ever get around to making something more ambitious (and are certain we'll see it through!) it'd be really helpful!

okay so basically going with the theme of memories here.. our main character's parents have died (srsly main characters are always orphaned/angsty past/unwanted) and he's going through the memories of all the people who knew his parents/connected to the crime -his parents were murdered/look like suicide but was really a plot- to solve the crime and to finally find out who murdered his parents.

basically:

-main character has dead parents

-parents were either murdered/or their death made to look like a suicide

-MC is going through memories of people/family/friends etc to find out what really happened

-im sorry, this is so cliche but i kinda like it

i don't have a cool enough idea so i'm just going to submit a font idea okay?

the game is most likely going to be in 8-bit right? so i was thinking if there's any dialogue or like directions we could maybe use wendy? it's a pretty cool font and it fits with 8-bit and it's free? maybe?

i think i'm biased though since it's my second fav font sorry orz

if it's a point-and-click adventure we have to make the plot and characters REALLY good. think higurashi or katawa shoujo. or we could make it wacky and bizarre, like hatoful boyfriend.
