Tumblr has been my safe and cozy little home where I’ve been free to frolick and do as I please since 2014!
I post things that make me happy, things that matter, and occasionally share my little outfits and creative endeavours. I make my own music in hopes of doing it full time one day, and I draw/paint but that’s just for fun!
Music is my special interest! It's almost the only thing in the world I care about but I don't say that out loud or else people think I'm rigid. My favourite genres are indie pop/rock but especially twee pop, 2nd + 3rd wave emo, art pop, post-punk, post-hardcore, britpop, riot grrrl, and alt-rock. I dabble in a lot of other genres too and I'm not terribly elitist. I like skramz, sasscore, and older metalcore in small doses but generally I'm a major softie.
My fave bands ever are <3 Manic Street Preachers <3, <3 My Chemical Romance <3 (do not refer to me as mcrblr though I fear most of them), <3 The Sundays <3 and <3 Heavenly <3! However I have recently developed a <3 Sleater-Kinney <3 special interest and I'm heavily hyperfocused on them at the moment.
My favourite TV show is skins (I’m lowkey a Cassie kinnie but not in the unhealthy way) and my favourite movies r fantastic mr fox, god help the girl, coraline and napoleon dynamite
I love sighthounds + I have a greyhound! He’s my best friend in the whole world.

Finally listened to that Sabrina Carpenter album (I no longer find her freaky because of her face being too perfect to the point of it being unnerving)
I listened to the deluxe and I feel as though all four of the bonus tracks should’ve been included in the main album to balance out the ratio of sounds she was trying out more. I was surprised how many slow or acoustic songs she’d done compared to boppy bops. Not that the acoustic songs were bad (Coincidence is incredible), however the songs I considered filler were def slower cuts and I feel as though Busy Woman and Fifteen Minutes should’ve replaced them on the standard instead. It would’ve made things very neat.
That being said the singles and the other more pop leaning stuff, especially when she adds heaps of kitschy 80s inspo (Juno my dearest) have a place in my heart.
I have more to say but I need to get on the bus to my volunteer work now
