“as.sem.blage” Edison Wong AW 2014 BA Graduate Collection - was inspired by the work of abstract figurative painter, Francis Bacon. Edison Wong is interested in the idea of reminiscing the past, and reconnecting people with their memories through recycling found objects like denim jackets, old curtains, leather scraps and fabric swatches. Reassemblage, the found object, and remaking is a series of experiments that echo the designer's emotion. This collection is intended to provoke the message that garments are not just a typical object but an object that bind the memory and experience of it's wearer.
