Jet and Jill 2.0
Jet had been half way through devouring his overly sweet french toast when Jill brought up the festival. The ginger couldn’t help but chuckle inwardly, he knew that Knightwalker wouldn’t be all to happy about a festival going on because of her pregnancy, in all honesty he didn’t think she was very happy to even be pregnant. The fairy shook his head, tossing the thoughts of the infuriating red head out of his mind and focusing on the much more pleasant ginger sitting in front of him. Smiling, syrup dripping down the corner of his lips he nodded his head. “Dat wud be gweat” he attempted to speak with a whole slice of french toast loaded into his mouth.
Swallowing he wiped his mouth with a napkin before setting it down onto the table, leaning over, hands resting on either side of his lovers plate as he placed a soft kiss on her forehead, pulling back and smiling sweetly down at her, brown eyes glistening with excitement. “Our baby will be so much cooler than her’s…this lil’ one is gonna give that kid of Knighty’s a damned run for their money” Jet beamed with pride, walking around the table and kneeling before his lover, lifting her shirt and placing the softest of kisses on her small bump, before resting a calloused hand on it, a soft smile on his face.
“I still can’t believe I’m gonna be a dad…and that I got the prettiest girl in Edolas to be the mother” he looked up at Jill, brown eyes glistening with love. He truly loved this woman more than he had ever loved anyone, and having a child with her, made him feel like he was the luckiest man on all of Edolas. “I love you Gildarts” he murmured, using her full name, which was something he only did on rare occasions.
"I love you Gildarts"
It was out of character for her to be so emotional, but whether it be from her wavering emotions and moods or from the adoration she was able to catch in his words, she couldn't seem to find the strength to stop the few tears that rolled down her cheeks. Jill lifted a hand to rest over Jet's, squeezing it as she returned a giddy grin. "I love you too, Jet," she said, her voice thick with the flood of tears that dared to follow the first few. "I love you so very much."
Swivelling in her chair to face him better, Jill leaned forward and rest her forehead against his. For a moment she kept silent, wanting to soak in the essence of the lovey-dovey atmosphere. Jill was sure to quietly thank the gods of maternity for the lack of bile in in her system at the moment, glad that she could at least enjoy their closeness for a little while before another round of vomit emitted from her throat.
Pulling back slightly to look at him, Jill tilted her head to the side, a few loose strands of hair brushing over her forehead. "Do ya really wanna go, Jet?" she asked, suddenly nervous that what she may have wanted wasn't exactly what her boyfriend had envisioned for their day. "I mean, we could do anythin' really. Laze about, sleep in, even visit that ice cream shop..." She couldn't help but giggle at the memory, ignoring the rush of blood to her cheeks. "The festival isn't all that important, right?"
