And I apologize if I’m not whoever you thought I was, but I don’t think anything she’s said here is vindictive or anti-trans - it’s just misinformed. She doesn’t understand a lot of what it is to be trans, and I honestly can’t blame her because this site, hell social media in general, is rife with little monsters pretending to be trans and misinterpreting who we are and what we need/want/feel/experience.

Look I’m not one to really care about changing someone’s opinion but this chick was being pretty damn vindictive and anti trans. Like, to the point I’m honestly suprised a cis person could argue against that, let alone a trans person.
For context, there are these choice quotes:
“Well, no, you have a penis. That’s what makes you a boy.”
That’s not just cis logic, that is straight terf rhetoric right there. Like… the fact that she thought it important to say this at all, let alone to a large group of people as if she is some sort of gender authority is pretty gross. Especially considering she is saying this on a tirade specifically about trans people
“Unless you say that you’re transitioning and you’re transgender. You’re transitioning physically to the other gender, then you are not–you are not a girl or a boy.”
I have never in my entire life heard of a cis person thinking that trans people are just not a girl or boy because they are transitioning that’s just stupid. Like come on here this is ridiculous.
And you can’t be offended for people calling you what you are
This is what she says after saying that if you have a penis you are a boy and you are just nothing if you are transitioning. This is pretty damn malicious. I mean in what way can “well I say that you are this and you can’t do anything about it stop being offended” NOT be taken in a malicious, specifically anti how said group feel way?
But you can’t feel entitled for people telling you that you’re a boy because you have a penis. Like that just makes no sense because that is what a boy is. You have a penis.
Again this is not regular cis “I dont get gender” logic here because she keeps continuously insisting that penis equals boy vagina equals girl while going on a tangent specifically about transgender people.
You are born this way and your preference doesn’t like doesn’t change that unless you actually transition which in case you are scientifically converting to the other gender. In which case, you are a boy because you became a boy
Here not only is she invalidating any pre op people, who have a hard enough time because for whatever reason they havent or can’t transition yet, but she is also invalidating post op people because the only reason they are their gender is because they “became one” even though people can’t transition unless they are already that gender. I’m not a girl unless I surgically get a dick (and I specify genitals because she goes on to say that the genitals specifically are what make you whatever gender) according to her. Trans women who haven’t had bottom surgery are boys to her, and she thinks that they can’t be offended by her insisting that. She’s frustrated for the same reason all trans people are frustrated on this website - the trans community on here makes no sense and when they fly off the handle and attack other people, especially artists for their art, they do it by claiming some morally superior high ground as trans people and they’re not. Nine times out of ten these people are trenders who spout trans-damaging rhetoric and speak over and silence actual trans people so they can appropriate our spaces, our language and our oppression. It’s frustrating and I can see why a cis person who’s being forced to deal with that kind of toxic, confusing community of people may have a lot of issues with trans people because that’s who she believes she’s dealing with and she isn’t. She’s dealing with trenders, and sjw’s and feminists. Who of us doesn’t get frustrated when we’re backed into a corner by those groups and railed on? This girl’s been dealing with it for weeks - I refuse to demonize her for lashing out and getting upset and frustrated. It would be different if she was on her blog screaming “all trannies fucking suck, fuck you” - but that’s not what she’s saying at all she’s trying to make sense of a complicated issue before the trenders came along and made it even more convoluted. Her logic isn’t 100% sound but it’s coming from a place of being cornered, attacked, sent hatemail and death threats and lashing out out of frustration - I’m sorry but I can completely understand that.
Yeah, I'm sorry but no. The people who attacked her art is wrong but so was she. Just because a bunch of people from a group has bothered you, acted morally superior to you, it doesn't mean you get to attack that whole group ESPECIALLY on something other than the basis of their anger! She could have said that they were being over dramatic about art policing, but she said people are being over dramatic with being told "what they are" when purple say that a penis makes you a boy. She could have said that being upset about is stupid, but she said that people who are transitioning are nothing until they transition. She didn't direct anything toward the people who attacked her and instead directed toward a group she clearly doesn't understand for no reason.
Lashing out isn't spending 10 minutes ranting about how trans people are fake. Lashing out is addressing the people who hurt you specifically. And she is a media creator who should have some tact, considering how she's so into poking the hornets nest on here. I've been frustrated before, stalked and harassed for months by someone on Tumblr because they were a bitch who took maybe don't be so rude to all straight people as an attack on their entire life for some reason. I never went on a rant about how awful mentally ill people were or how feminists are all liars. And this was when I was 15-16. My point is she should know better, and we shouldn't excuse malice because they were bothered first when they aren't attacking who bothered them.
