Cricketsong is Now on Kickstarter!

Big news, all! I just launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund my next comic book project, Cricketsong!

My frequent collaborator Daryl Toh (aka @daryltoh ) and I are hoping to reach our goal within the next 30 days to see this project come to life and we really need your help spreading the word and/or pledging to the Kickstarter campaign.

So what is the comic about?

Cricketsong is a mysterious new crime thriller about a couple of strangers, Emile and Barry, setting forth on a roadtrip across the southern California desert. It’s in the same realm as Robert Rodriguez & Quentin Tarantino’s From Dusk Till Dawn, the 80s horror classic The Hitcher, and hedonistic road narratives, like On the Road, The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, and Into the Wild. All together, Cricketsong is a pickup truck full of mystery, drama, suspense, comedy, horror, and adventure!

Hey peeps! We are boothing again this year at Comic Fiesta 2015, held at MIECC on the 19-20 December, next weekend. Please do come and meet us at Art Booths L15-16.

Doing Inktober make me realize how incompetent I am as an artist and how much more I still have to improve, from generating ideas to inking it on paper, and understanding light and shadow with just black and white. All these time doing art digitally makes me take so many things for granted, and when you can't undo, it's either do or die. So much struggle. But I'm glad I started doing Inktober.
