ok but.. what if. v1 had a little fuckass needle it could use to take a sippy out of gabriel like a juicebox. maybe it has it for.. emergencies? just in case theres no sources of fresh blood around and it needs to resort to refueling from corpses. its not optimal to use it to drain blood from living beings as they would struggle against v1, but gabriel.. well. gabriel is. normal about it
