Heโs in your very circuits, peeking into everything you know and donโt know ๐ฅ๏ธ I just find his telepathy and EM scanning to be very cool.. thereโs so many things you can do with it I feel like, but I also just really like it when heโs associated with brain stuff cuz well, it fits him so well and with how heโs very.. computery even for a cybertronian, from his voice to his speech patterns and his functions and relations to working tech all the time
1 of 2 videos for shockblurr week I made tho shock blurr and skystar week are all year long for me Song is from Rubios lament by Waitress DAY 5:
Regrets
What are the odds that some random techno electronic song somehow ended up with cybertronian words in it? Imagine you're listening to alien music from a different planet and all the sudden the background music somehow sounds exactly like your name in English. A language the aliens are completely physically unable to understand
Somewhere out there there's an industrial techno album that translates perfectly into one of megatrons early political works
You know, in the context of Unicron making humans, or just Unicron being earth in generalโand in contrast to my last postโhumans and cybertronians are very different. And it makes sense given the context, what with Unicron and Primus being... enemies? Opposites? The antithesis to the other? What have you.
As much as I like looking at the similarities between cybertronians and humans in an in-lore context, I like it because of the irony. By all intents and purposes, they should be as different as can be. One race is made of flesh, the other metal. One is tiny, the other giant. One is so short lived their lives don't even amount to a blink, the other can live for so long they can watch the births of stars and planets and live to their primes.
Even down to their very lifeblood, they are different.
One is dark red, the other light blue.
They are, quite literally, the color negative of the other.
I made this supper quick, a very nondescript red puddle of nothing you need to worry about, and inverted the color to the puddle bellow that.
Blood and energon.
The difference might as well be written in their DNA and CNA respectively.
And yet.
And yet, they are so, so similar. Personalities, histories, habits, fears, hopes, griefs, desires... even sins.
The relationship humans and cybertronians have on a cosmic scale leaves me in awe.
Primus and Unicron?
Nah, Cybertron and Earth.
As always, additions and shared thoughts are welcomed and encouraged! Don't think I wonโt see it. I will talk to you. This is a threat.
I also find it so funny that in a lot of tf media ykw that one scene where one bot always points out that humans are destructive and flawed and Optimus usually goes โjust like usโ and like
I need mooore. I need it to be cosmically ironic
whenever the idea that humans are unicronโs kids comes up I have want a bot to say that humans are destined to be naturally destructive bc of unicorn and for the human to be like so what??? cybertronians are directly made by a creator/life god, yet theyโve destroyed more planets and caused the extinction of just as many, if not more, species than humans?? themselves included! we havenโt even destroyed a single planet. unfortunately we are working on it-
โJust like usโ Oppy you get it </3
Also holy shit because you literally pulled this perfectly into a yin and yang balance??? This race created by a being that represents life that live so long that they can't help but become destructive?? That they've destroyed entire planets within their lifetimes in a way that only feeds their creator's opposite??? How it could be a way to balance out their existence as something so long-lived that they actually might be unable to do anything but exactly that????? Holy shit.
And consider, while we may have not yet destroyed any planet so far, what we do have in the Way of Life going for us is that there is just. So. Many. Of. Us. A headcanon I've had is that while cybertronians are long-lived, and don't die easily... there aren't actually that many of them? Especially after the war. Their numbers would line up in the tens of millions before the war, but that's nothing in comparison to the billions of humans that live on earth. And a billion is such a hard number to comprehend because it's just. So big. 1,000,000 to 1,000,000,000 doesn't feel like a big difference, but it's not just, like, some extra zeros after a million. It's one million a thousand times over. Think about that!
So yeah, humans... thereโs just so many of us. And I'm a firm believer that humans have a way easier time in reproducing than cybertronians do (in the context that they can reproduce in the โhuman wayโ or however you want to put it), so we have that going in the Way of Life for us too.
Also love how you pulled in the โdeath is a part of the circle of lifeโ and how human of a perspective that is, because that's just not the way things are for cybertronians. While death is a part of a cycle for humans, death is just an end for cybertronians. There's no nourishing new life with your death for cybertroniansโthere's just not. It's the end. They return to the Well of the Allspark, and that's it. They don't think of an after, of what comes after them, but humans do. We literally have so many examples of humans leaving a legacy in some way, shape, or form. Family heirlooms, traditions, old practices, stories of famous people and what they've done in history... We've, in a way, extended our lifespans past our deaths in the way of who our descendants are.
And. Just. Literally everything else you said. How did I not think of that??? How did I not realize it??? This is such a good addition to my silly little train of thought, thank you for sharing! I'm going to be inserting this into my mental transformers book of โthings that I incorporate into my permanent headcanonโ because I love this so much, it's so good.
itโs interesting how sometimes an attempt to subvert a problematic trope will become a problematic trope in itself. wait hold on i have a perfect bad luck brian image for this
when the damsel in distress morphs into the woman being the group mom/only one with the braincell
this came into my head at work, this is so stupid :") (Ignore how fuckass starscream looks i mixed designs together for funsies)
Skywarp's Disappearing Act
transformers would probably find the idea that we can smell rain weird, especially if you go with my headcannon that they don't have a sense of smell.
like. you're telling me that not only can you intake the air around you to sense traces of chemicals and particles in it, but you can do that for water falling from the sky???!!!
I draw this short comic 9 month ago and completely forgot that it existed .
Sorry for the bad resolution.
i'm just saying why are his shoulders so deep if you can't put things in them?? waste of space
(based on my little brother calling roddy 'cupholder shoulders' as a kid)
silly sketch below! this is how I imagine essie pitching this to him, she's very professional
Back for my monthly post ๐๐ค(jk jk)

I have so many scenes in mind that I would love to bring to life, they have such a fantastic way of writing that it really makes me fall in love with the characters all over again. This is honestly only one of the many fanarts I have in mind ๐
On that note this au was created by the one and only @keferon ! Below is the full image, the scene, and the follow up I was gonna finish but got too lazy to lowkey ๐ my eyes arenโt what they used to be so I take a lot of breaks in between. The colors were going to be a bit brighter but it was starting to hurt my eyes so theyโre a bit duller. Thank you for reading!
sort of a part 2 to this post? not really but it's on the same sorta vein. kinda.
random-ish ideas/headcannons I have about transformers
- transformers can't smell. I know I said this in that other post, but I want to add to it, only a few of them have the receptors necessary to detect chemicals in the air, but even that isn't the same as a sense of smell
- their lips are well. lips. and they're pliable. but not as soft and movable as human lips. so they have slightly less use, since they don't need as much suction power
- connected to the part in that other post about touch, I think they're constantly shocked by how sensitive humanity's sense of touch is. we can feel a mosquito landing on our skin, our clothes moving, the slightest brush of a hair. must be wild.
Transformers having no sense of smell is my favorite headcanon. Most metals, by nature of being metals and having strong molecular bonds, have no smell.
I think all bots would be able to detect smoke, but they would only have chemoreceptors for other airborne compounds if their job required it (cough functionism cough).
Scientists, especially those who explore other worlds, would have extremely complex, precise chemoreceptors. They could tell general atmospheric makeup and identify millions of compounds. Medics could likely sense humidity and oxidation.
But they still couldnโt smell any of it. It would just be data. There wouldnโt be good smells or bad smells or smells that remind you of way back when.
All that to say, humans enjoying the smell of smoke is so strange to them. Sensing smoke just sends up a warning ping. For us it can mean danger just as much as it can mean food and warmth and other people.

glimpse into my beautiful imaginary world where arthropods are really big and we domesticated them
edit: people are starting to say some "my worst nightmare" or "eeeww no that one is yucky and scary" comments on this like they do on any bug post and id like to say. it's fine if you don't like bugs it's fine if you're scared of bugs but don't put that on MY post clearly talking about how much i like them and how cute i think they are. you can make your own damn post about how much you hate wasps or spiders or whatever. i'm blocking people who make these kinds of comments.

For years, sci-fi has asked, what if aliens were wetter than us. Project Hail Mary posits a new, daring question. What if we are the wet aliens
