Happy 40th Anniversary of US release of The Transformers: The Movie!
my claim to fame is that me and rodimus prime/ the transformers movie have the same birthday I have just discovered. from now on I will require someone to bust into my room and play The Touch at 12 am 8/8 exactly
human: *stretching*
transformer/giant's view:
image id: a cat with it's eyes close stretching as far as it can, with it's forelegs stretched out in front of it and it's butt in the air /end id
do you think transformers ever say âbig stretch!â after watching their human stretch
bots who get a lil jealous when you start changing the fluids in your car
bots who are BAFFLED and incredibly flustered when you come back from the auto shop with a bottle of transmission fluid- you mean to tell them you just BUY that stuff?? IN BULK??!
bots who get even more heated when you start detailing or cleaning your car- like, why not them huh?? Why canât they have that treatment??? Whatâs that rust bucket have that they donât????
and if when they find out youâre doing all this just to get a reaction out of them?? good luck buddy
I just washed my car and while I was putting on turtle wax it reminded me of those cucumber face masks. I kept imagining there was a bot who asked why I never gave them that much attention and teasing them likeâsorry you donât have a spa appointment weâre booked through the month âşď¸ââ and watching them get increasingly heated. for bonus points lay over the hood to get really buff out a spot they can never reach at the automatic wash and watch them yearn
Little science buddy! âď¸

sort of random but does anyone know any weird facts about the human body that sound 100% made up and would theoretically freak out a transformer?? I have an idea for a silly comic hehehe

Very rarely, people can die from Broken Heart Syndrome. Yeah, sounds like a soulmate AU trope, but no heart strings are actually broken. Just stress hormones flooding the heart and stunning/weakening the muscle. It's not exactly deadly and your life expectancy won't be affected so long as you recover well,,
I'm saying this because I think it's fun to terrorize cybertronians with how many things can kill their human. Extreme emotional distress? Dead. Bend them the wrong way? Extra dead. Shoot them in the head? 50/50 because I remember that one guy who had a bullet in his head for years and never noticed.
Edit: There's a nonzero chance though, maybe around 6% at most from what I remember? For Prowl lovers, keep the percentages away from him. Human anatomy is unpredictable and there's so much stuff factored into health. Also keep it away from Red Alert because his paranoia is going to love catastrophizing stuff that's got like 0-8/100 chance of happening. The medics are 50/50 because they'll either go overboard or actually succeed.
wait you can actually die of heartbreak?? 00 that's so interesting I always thought it was an exaggeration or misdiagnosed from something else but the human body makes dreams reality...even the bad ones
tell this to a bot as a joke during a sad movie and watch all movies that are even a little sad vanish from your movie library. spend an hour arguing that charlotte's web is NOT going to kill you(fail miserably. they're going after the disney movies now)
terrorizing transformers with the sheer magnitude of how many ways we can die is so fun. don't let them know we can die from too much oxygen, yes the exact same gas we'd also die from if we go without it for a couple minutes. i don't know if they can handle it
You know, in the context of Unicron making humans, or just Unicron being earth in generalâand in contrast to my last postâhumans and cybertronians are very different. And it makes sense given the context, what with Unicron and Primus being... enemies? Opposites? The antithesis to the other? What have you.
As much as I like looking at the similarities between cybertronians and humans in an in-lore context, I like it because of the irony. By all intents and purposes, they should be as different as can be. One race is made of flesh, the other metal. One is tiny, the other giant. One is so short lived their lives don't even amount to a blink, the other can live for so long they can watch the births of stars and planets and live to their primes.
Even down to their very lifeblood, they are different.
One is dark red, the other light blue.
They are, quite literally, the color negative of the other.
I made this supper quick, a very nondescript red puddle of nothing you need to worry about, and inverted the color to the puddle bellow that.
Blood and energon.
The difference might as well be written in their DNA and CNA respectively.
And yet.
And yet, they are so, so similar. Personalities, histories, habits, fears, hopes, griefs, desires... even sins.
The relationship humans and cybertronians have on a cosmic scale leaves me in awe.
Primus and Unicron?
Nah, Cybertron and Earth.
As always, additions and shared thoughts are welcomed and encouraged! Don't think I wonât see it. I will talk to you. This is a threat.
I also find it so funny that in a lot of tf media ykw that one scene where one bot always points out that humans are destructive and flawed and Optimus usually goes âjust like usâ and like
I need mooore. I need it to be cosmically ironic
whenever the idea that humans are unicronâs kids comes up I have want a bot to say that humans are destined to be naturally destructive bc of unicorn and for the human to be like so what??? cybertronians are directly made by a creator/life god, yet theyâve destroyed more planets and caused the extinction of just as many, if not more, species than humans?? themselves included! we havenât even destroyed a single planet. unfortunately we are working on it-
âJust like usâ Oppy you get it </3
Also holy shit because you literally pulled this perfectly into a yin and yang balance??? This race created by a being that represents life that live so long that they can't help but become destructive?? That they've destroyed entire planets within their lifetimes in a way that only feeds their creator's opposite??? How it could be a way to balance out their existence as something so long-lived that they actually might be unable to do anything but exactly that????? Holy shit.
And consider, while we may have not yet destroyed any planet so far, what we do have in the Way of Life going for us is that there is just. So. Many. Of. Us. A headcanon I've had is that while cybertronians are long-lived, and don't die easily... there aren't actually that many of them? Especially after the war. Their numbers would line up in the tens of millions before the war, but that's nothing in comparison to the billions of humans that live on earth. And a billion is such a hard number to comprehend because it's just. So big. 1,000,000 to 1,000,000,000 doesn't feel like a big difference, but it's not just, like, some extra zeros after a million. It's one million a thousand times over. Think about that!
So yeah, humans... thereâs just so many of us. And I'm a firm believer that humans have a way easier time in reproducing than cybertronians do (in the context that they can reproduce in the âhuman wayâ or however you want to put it), so we have that going in the Way of Life for us too.
Also love how you pulled in the âdeath is a part of the circle of lifeâ and how human of a perspective that is, because that's just not the way things are for cybertronians. While death is a part of a cycle for humans, death is just an end for cybertronians. There's no nourishing new life with your death for cybertroniansâthere's just not. It's the end. They return to the Well of the Allspark, and that's it. They don't think of an after, of what comes after them, but humans do. We literally have so many examples of humans leaving a legacy in some way, shape, or form. Family heirlooms, traditions, old practices, stories of famous people and what they've done in history... We've, in a way, extended our lifespans past our deaths in the way of who our descendants are.
And. Just. Literally everything else you said. How did I not think of that??? How did I not realize it??? This is such a good addition to my silly little train of thought, thank you for sharing! I'm going to be inserting this into my mental transformers book of âthings that I incorporate into my permanent headcanonâ because I love this so much, it's so good.
IM IN THE BOOK! :D
and oh 100% I feel like there were always comparatively fewer cybertronians especially now that their species consists of like 5 guys </3 they definitely go people watch and mourn cybertron (if they were even alive to remember cybertron being full)
on the flip side of that, I think theyâd be fascinated by the idea of human tradition and and all our different religions, and thatâs nice and poetic until they realize itâs because we donât know where we go the way they do. I think thatâs a difference that would bother them. I didnât fully consider how human the idea of death being part of the cycle is but likeâŚyeah!! a cybertronian knows their spark goes to the well, but the most we have empirical proof of is what happens to our bodies. the trade off for being able to reproduce without relying on your creator god directly is not being brought into the world with any of that knowledge
in the scenario a human they know dies, I wonder if it would comfort or disturb them more to know that their friend is part of the world all around them?? thatâs not really a thing with cybertronians. a tiny piece of a human lives in a hundred different ways through the life they give back, even if itâs only their body, and even if the rich, if short life they lived only exists in their memory now. you get the comfort(??) of having a physical piece of them while youâre alive in exchange for not fully knowing if your spark will ever reunite with their soul again ;-;
now see him cutes
i'm just saying why are his shoulders so deep if you can't put things in them?? waste of space
(based on my little brother calling roddy 'cupholder shoulders' as a kid)
silly sketch below! this is how I imagine essie pitching this to him, she's very professional
