How would Effy combine pink? I know Effy never uses pink but I want to have her style and I have many pink clothes that I do not want to lose, excuse my bad English P.S: i love your blog

Your English is fine!! And as for combining pink, I would say just make sure the pink is kept to a minimum and you use other darker colors to balance it out. It also depends on the color too, as I could see effy wearing some darker toned down pink shades.

Please help me! Tonight is my first party ever and I have no idea what to wear. I've looked at pictures of the event on Facebook and people dressed pretty simply so I don't wanna be too extra but I don't wanna dress like a little kid. My mom doesn't like the idea and is rather overprotective bc I'm only 15 and I also deal with some social anxiety stuff so... I just wanna have fun and have a new experience while still being me. ❤

If it's casual I would say something like ripped jeans and graphic tees or a tee shirt dress. Accessories are one of the most important things though, that way you can dress simple but still have style incorporated into it. And most importantly wear something that you feel comfortable in and that you feel like you look good in. That will really minimize the social anxiety, try not to over think things and have fun !

would she ever dye her hair? cause i'm thinking of either dying it red or doing a brown/blonde ombre at the ends

I don't know if effy would die her hair as it can be pretty high maintenance, however I do think it can work well with her look :)

I hope you can answer my question :) can you tell me how Effy's and Cassie's styles would be, if they were a guy? Because I think it's a little bit hard, because Cassie's style for example is pretty vintage and feminine. And if you know the answer, can you tell me where I can buy them (online shop)? So Effys style as a guy I think would be lots of leather and ripped jeans and monochrome loose tee shirts. Doc martens of course :). I think it would be a good mix of grungey and rock and roll style which can easily be seen as masculine. So a lot like Effys style now, besides the dresses and fishnets. As for Cassie I could actually see a Bertie Gilbert esque look. Like vintage glasses and lots of stripes. Although her look is like you said very feminine, I think the vintage aspects can definitely work in a masculine manner. When I get around to it, I'll make a photoset of masculine style pieces for these! And as for parties and day to day looks, just scroll through my blog I have looks that can work for both of those, I would give you a link but I'm on mobile right now. And thank you!!

effy is vulnerable, but she hides it so well (with confidence, getting fucked up, etc) that no one seems to notice. she's so important to the storyline, it's ridiculous.

Yes I think this is exactly right, she is very vulnerable when it comes to her feelings and emotions, shes scared of getting hurt. She is such a complex character.

Melanie Martinez/ Effy Mashup

So one of my best friends and I ( @belladenote ) are going to see Melanie Martinez live in 14 days so in celebration of that (and also getting 1k followers thanks you guys!!!!) I decided to make a mash up

So Mel’s style is pretty eccentric and out there and also very diverse, but I think the main thing is her “baby doll” aesthetic. Her style is much more girly and colorful than Effy’s but I think they can look well together if done right.

If you’re going for more of Melanie’s style, Pair a crop top with a high wasted skirt, to add in a little of Effy’s style, stick to neutral and dark colors instead of a bright color that Mel might choose. Lastly Pair it with some Effy esque accessories such as Fishnet tights and or Doc Martens.

Melanie is a huge fan of dresses, especially the baby doll type dress, so again choose one in a dark color and add doc martens in a pastel color to keep add in another touch of Mel’s style.

Now if you’re going for more of an Effy style, choose a typical Effy outfit, such as high wasted skinny jeans and a tee shirt, but make the tee shirt cropped as Mel usually does and choose a pastel color.

Effy and Mel’s styles are very unique eccentric styles which both use some of the same aspects so combining them can work very well and can create some creative outfits.

Depends on how she feels that day I guess. I think either a comfy dress like the one she wore to pandas party or like the outfit she wears when she visits Freddy's shed (graphic tee, ripped skinny jeans)

Well effy doesn't really dress for the occasion so this is kind of hard and it really depends on what you're doing. If it's a casual thing I would recommend her graphic tank and skinny jeans outfit but if you're going for a slightly more formal thing but still pretty casual, I would say a tee shirt dress with tights so yeah it really does depend!! Let's say the school forced her to do therapy...how would she of acted in that therapy? Because I think she opened up after she tried to kill herself because she realized she really needed help whereas before idk maybe she would act distant?

Exactly. I think you're right. She would definitely be very distant and wouldn't cooperate. I especially think if she was forced she would be even bitter/less willing.

So the question is how would she act if she had therapy before she tried to kill herself? This is an interesting question because I can't think of a situation where Effy would end up in therapy before she tried to kill herself because she would never willingly ask for therapy. Her trying to kill herself is what got peoples attention and got her in therapy in the first place. I guess if she had been in therapy before I think she would have been aloof and non interested and because you have to put some effort in to get anything out of therapy, it probably wouldn't do much for her and she would figure a way to just stop going.

Which stores have the most Effy like clothes?

You see I don't really feel like one specific store has the most effy inspired clothing mostly because Effys style is a mix of many different things. I think effy generally just finds pieces she likes and puts them together into a wardrobe. That being said I really like thriftshopping for her because I think it's a place you can get unique pieces and Effys style really is unique. I also think hot topic has effy esque accessories (although she would NEVER admit to shopping at a place like hot topic, to her it screams try hard) but also places like urban outfitters and h&m etc work really well. So to conclude I would say just look around and keep your eyes open for interesting pieces!

Okay so as you guys have probably noticed this blog hasnt been active for a few months, I really don't have an excuse, I was planning on working on it over Christmas break but I just didn't get around to it. But I'm gonna really really try to get stuff going again over the next few weeks and I will try and consistently post once or twice a week, hang in there Im still around I promise!!

Confidence! Confidence is key honestly. Its the one thing I think everyone can learn from effy. Just think "you need me more than I need you" when you're talking to guys and keep your head high and just not give a fuck about what anyone thinks about you. This quality is so so attractive and you're essentially just being yourself except more confident in it.
