HELP THERE ARE SUDDENLY CHILDREN IN MY HOST FAMILYS HOUSE LIKE WHAT
what if anime was german or something so like anime fans and weebs would have german/kawaii/pastel blogs and they’d use broken german and say things like niedlich in a really high voice instead of kawaii
NOPE
ICH BIN AWESOME XDDDD
geil
Oh mein Gott wie super süüüüüüüüß
While being so far away from my mother, I think I'm subconsciously making up for it by slowly becoming her.
Exchange thing #1
You don't have any idea what the fuck is going on.
New Host Family
More details:
The house (well, apartment) is a good middle size. Spiral staircases areeverywhere here, and in my new home it’s no different. They have loads of little statues and things all over the place, and bookcases, which is really nice ‘cause it’s familiar to me.
Plus a stream out the window with ducks!
There’s a cat, and a small.. I’m gonna say canary?
It’s perfect for me, more or less, but the things it lacks aren’t important, I can live without them.
The couple are super nice, but not overbearing, which I appreciate. The wife and I share star signs, which she thinks is a good start. She has an actual interest in the things I say, and is always surprised when she finds out something new about me or my country. She’s great. The husband and I have a lot in common, but he’s quiet, so we usually chat when the wife is out of the room, as she usually dominates conversation.
They find a lot of my qualities and interests great, and that’s nice. They, in contrast to my other family, understand me. They know that silence isn’t a bad thing, and that I’m independent in thoughts, and what I can do. They encourage me to make my own life here. They mean it when they say something, which didn’t happen before.
Basically, from the looks of things, they can actually feel like family. Just the right blend of perfect and imperfect. ^_^
Weird things I really miss from home, part one:
The pillows
The milk
School
Occasionally sausages
The general complaining
I feel like the chicken could be better
Day #44
Went to Karneval today! Pretty disappointing though. Just a load of tacky costumes, decorated trucks, and old people. Plus, nobody could throw. I guess I can see how it would be fun with a bigger, more lively crowd, but it was pretty dull. Didn't really live up to the hype. Didn't help that my host mother kept yelling in my ear. The music wasn't loud.
Well, I guess I have some sweets from it. Though not as many as I hoped! Ah well, not the end of the world. ^_^
Day #39
Quick one, as I need to go soon.
First day of school today! New school is so much friendlier. I may have even made my first friend! Fingers crossed.
Dear Nadia,
No, I have not met any boys who will offer their wienerschnitzel to me.
Day #37
Okay, I decided it's high time to actually start an exchange blog, instead of just saying I'll do it. I figure, since I'm having a fresh start, I may as well begin properly.
Today was my first full day with my new host family. Most of you reading probably don't know, but my old family had a lot of problems, a lot of which I didn't realize until now, now that I have a comparison. I should have moved a lot sooner, or at least that's what everyone's saying. This family is pretty much perfect for me. They're an older couple, with one grown up daughter. Very nice but not overly so, unlike my previous family. They have a gorgeous two-level apartment, so similar to many of my mum's friend's homes, so that's nice. They live more in the city, which is much more convenient. They pretty much have the balance that I'm familiar with. My new school is ten minutes walk, and is, like everything else, a lot more like what I'm used to.
Plus they have a cat. Like, yes please.
Currently she's staring at me from under the chair with dead eyes. She's still getting used to me.
I hope I update this regularly now. I'm meant to be downstairs watching an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie...
If any of my friends are reading this, hi! Hope to keep you more informed.
