no
mid getting a diagnosis, it's hard
mid getting a diagnosis, kinda
mid getting a diagnosis, no
the process is too hard/complicated for me to get one
not really thinking about getting a professional diagnosis yet
I'm not sure
i don't need a diagnosis/I'm neurotypical/results
It was very hard before I moved out cause my parents didnt want me to have the “neurodivergent” label and wouldnt let me get diagnosed 💀 so I pretty much raw dogged adhd until I graduated high school, getting by by drinking an unhealthy amount of instant coffee every day and just accepting that no matter how hard I tried, I’d inevitably have lower grades in every class I attempted because I wasn’t paying attention in class or missing deadlines.
Once I got to college tho, booking an appointment with my university psychiatrist was so simple, and after the first appointment they were like “yeah you have super star levels of adhd. Have some accommodations, stimulants, and Prozac while we’re at it” So I’d say the barriers of my diagnosis are more like the societal stigma preventing my family from letting me get treatment, rather than issues with healthcare providers themselves. Though my experience was only so simple bc booking appointments was easy at my college and I’m fortunate enough to have health insurance (as a USAmerican).
Funnily enough, because I didn’t get diagnosed until I was an adult I never got to call myself “neurodivergent and a minor” LOL
