It was Nina’s first year as a year rounder since her grandmother passed away and she was starting to realize just how different camp was in the fall. Her usually bustling cabin was over half empty, the dining hall a ghost town and, instead of her beloved boarding school in England, she was learning maths from Chiron. It was safe to say she was feeling a little lost in the change. At least a few of her family members stuck around for the cold months, she told herself, settling in next to her brother Nicky at breakfast.

Nina was in the car during the car accident that killed her parents, she has a scar on her right ribs where she was pinned in the car by the crumpled door. She also has a number of scars from monster attacks and sparring mishaps at camp, but she passes them off as being from the accident.

Nina is short for Evelina, which become confusing as it was too close to her Grandmother’s name, Evelyn and so her full name is almost never used. Nina is also not fond of the name and will try to keep it a secret.
