Back to Pandaria

After weeks and weeks of trying my team and I pulled it off!  Twisting Corridors, Floor 8 Level 18 completed!  We’re all casual player so this was big for us.  And we didn’t have to deal with Custodian Thonar this time. 

Now we can relax and do....well....very little.

So I'm back on Twisted Corridors ranting.

Finally, FINALLY, got to level 8 floor 18 the final boss. So close to the mount. SO CLOSE.

My team and I, a warlock, shaman and death knight, had been doing pretty damn good. Shamans are beasts after a few powe ups. It was going to be close but we were confident.

Got

Custodian Thonar.

Nope.

Down.

A lot.

We'd all buffed our pets and yeah.

Throned shield hurt.

A lot.

Oh well. At least we known now we can get to the boss. Just hope for better luck with which boss we get next time.

Try doing Twisted Corridors today.

Did not go well.

I got bored by level 8 and didnt even manage to finish.

Floor 1, level 17 and I just couldn't get pass this one group of elites.

Well. At least I tried and never have to go if again.

And then I remember I have to for the main storyline.

For Light's sake.....if I Andiun didnt being out such mama bear instinct in me I wouldnt even bother.

Fine. I'll go do raids (and by that I mean slum it in lfr) and get actual better gear.

I’m all of these....i have an elf problem.

So shower thought here, but what if Greymane is the one responsible for the burning of Teldrassil? 

I mean yes the Night Elves pretty much helped save his people and bring them into the Alliances but I could see him as the type of person that would consider Teldrassil as a military weak point and therefore expendable.  Plus the burning of a major Alliance city would help him convince the rest of the Alliance to go to war with the Horde. Or more importantly, in his mind at least, a war against Sylvanas.  Remember this is a man that only send token support to help Stormwind during the Second War and then when faced with the treat of the Undead was more worried about his country’s wealth so hide behind a giant wall. 

And if we going to go down the whole corrupted Leader thing again I think it should be an Alliance leader this time.

Ok so just finished reading the sample of ‘Before the Storm’ on WoWhead and have a thought. This is going to be very jumbled and I hope everyone can follow.

Read it I was struck by the thought that some of the Forsaken don’t want to ‘live forever’ and I have to wonder if there are those in the Forsaken that see Sylvanas the same way she saw Arthas. Ok so many of her most loyal follows have been with her since the beginning. They, like her, were raised by Arthas. They know what it’s like to be enslaved  with no free-will and see her as their savior, they would never betray their ‘Dark Lady’. They are the ones that will follow her to hell and back and never question her.

BUT.

After the death of Arthas in WotL she claimed the power to raise new undead through the Val’kyr and she uses it. But how many of those that she raised welcomed it? I mean Sylvanas herself says “What joy is there in this curse?”. A curse. Yet in the sample she calls it a “gift”.

“Her people were back in the Undercity, holding meetings, using her own gifts to them - their existence and their free will - to inexplicably refuse those gifts.”

In the Forsaken starting area there is Marshal Redpath (I think it was him at least) that very much did not welcome becoming an undead. They’re also a suggestion that he wasn’t the first to be angry about being brought back. You could also ‘split’ the Forsaken between those from the Arthas’ days that are loyal to Sylvanas completely and those that don’t want the eternal life she is offering them. They want to be able to die and stay dead. Go the Shadowlands. Or become with the Light. Whatever they class as resting in peace.

This made so much more sense in my head but I’m not very good at writing it all down.

Civil unrest in the Forsaken could be interesting. And while I’m not completely against Sylvanas being killed off, I am against her being the Big Bad of the game.

You know for all the jokes we make about Jaina being a Dreadlord maybe Sylvanas is one.

So running around Azsuna today leveling with some friends and noticed something ‘off’ with the owlcats.  They look a little buggy.

That feeling when 7.3 goes live and it’s your day off but you can’t play because the windows are being re-fitted and the PC is right next to the window. XC
