The Spoliarium (often misspelled Spolarium) is a painting by Filipino painter Juan Luna. The painting was submitted by Luna to the Exposición Nacional de Bellas Artes in 1884 in Madrid, where it garnered the first gold medal (out of three). In 1886, it was sold to the Diputación Provincial de Barcelona for 20,000 pesetas. It currently hangs in the main gallery at the first floor of the National Museum of Fine Arts in Manila, and is the first work of art that greets visitors upon entry into the museum. The picture recreates a despoiling scene in a Roman circus where dead gladiators are stripped of weapons and garments.
Luna, working on canvas , spent eight months completing the painting which depicts dying gladiators. Filipino historian Ambeth Ocampo writes, "...the fact remains that when Luna and Félix Resurrección Hidalgo won the top awards in the Madrid Exposition of 1884, they proved to the world that indios could, despite their supposed barbarian race, paint better than the Spaniards who colonized them."

"Infuse your life with action. Don't wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen... yourself, right now, right down here on Earth."
Bradley Whitford

Stress is something that affects many people each and everyday. Life is full of hassles, deadlines, frustrations and demands. For some people stress is so common it is a way of life. Stress can be harmful or helpful. It could help motivate you to meet a deadline and perform a task under pressure. Stress can also be very harmful, such as memory problems, moodiness, aches and pains, and eating more or less. The way you responds to stress usually depends on the person. Some people get very nervous when they are stressed out.
The Department of Health has the 12 S of Stress Management, these techniques will not only have you feeling more relaxed within minutes, because if done regularly, these can help you reduce your stress levels permanently. The 12 S Stress Management are self-awareness, scheduling, siesta, speak, sounds, sensation, stretching, socials, smile, sports, stress debriefing and spirituality. Develop a habit of paying attention to your expressions of thought, emotions, and behavior, knowing yourself, getting in touch with your feelings, or being open to experience. The more you know yourself, the better you are at adapting life changes that suit your needs. Talk to someone when you feel overwhelmed or unable to deal with stress on your own. Venting can help you unload unwanted feelings. Listen to relaxing and soothing music. Sounds can relieve depression and can even increase self-esteem.

Life Below Water
Over three billion people depend on marine and coastal biodiversity for their livelihoods. However, today we are seeing 30 percent of the worldās fish stocks overexploited, reaching below the level at which they can produce sustainable yields. Many people canāt still discipline themselves. They canāt throw their trash properly. It is simple to throw your trash in a trash can yet many of us canāt still do this simple thing. A small trash can ruin mother earth, especially plastics. As they say āstop using plastics, save the turtlesā. How fascinating that some of the fast food chain like Mc Donaldās has their own policy of what so they called strawless policy. It can help a bit to lessen the use of plastic straws.
People who spends their vacation at the beach should be responsible for their trash. For the people who lives near the bodies of water should atleast maintain the cleanliness of that area since they will benefit and it is for their own good and also for our nature.Especially those who lives near river side. Some of them canāt control themselves to dispose their trash properly. We should be responsible for our surrounding. We should pay attention in our community. Itās our nature who will be the most to get affected of our wrong doings.
The SDGs aim to sustainably manage and protect marine and coastal ecosystems from pollution, as well as address the impacts of ocean acidification. Enhancing conservation and the sustainable use of ocean-based resources through international law will also help mitigate some of the challenges facing our oceans. Our community is still working on this. The people is the problem here who canāt have their discipline when it comes to trash. We all know plastics is the number cause of this problem. We can use plastic but we should dispose it in a proper way but it is advisable to use eco-friendly things like paper bags and paper straws to help to lessen this problem.
