Can we talk about how he is one of the few Assassins in which we deal more openly with mental traumas?Â
Or his 100% respect for women which he doesnât even SEE AS OUTSTANDING BEHAVIOUR ON HIS PART BECAUSE HE THINKS TO TREAT WOMEN ON THE SAME SCALE OF MEN IS JUST NORMAL?Â
Or that he openly criticises the instigators of the revolution (SINCE THE AGE OF 18) for believing that they alone know the best course of action for it?
Or his humble willingness to acknowledge and apologise for his only one serious outburst at Achilles (and didnât even realise just how close to mark he was on commenting about Achilles and the destruction of the brotherhood because Achilles for whatever reason didnât tell him) and talk openly about his ambitions with his father while probably fearing what Achilles would say?
Or how he built ENTIRE communities in that he built up Davenport Homestead and the colonial Assassins at the same time and would protect and fight for both sets of people with all the fire in the world?
Or being what must be one of the FIRST ASSASSINS to realise that the Assassin/Templar war is just a bunch of genocidal, egotistical bullshit and while he did not receive the same privileges as Haytham in learning about both philosophies of Templar and Assassin he had the instinct and the sense to know that together is better than opposed?Â
Or how even though he had been defeated, downtrodden, betrayed and forgotten about by those he helped rise to power, in the aftermath of AC3 when presented with the opportunity to seize control through the apple and overturn all the oppression he suffered he saw it for the dangerous, controlling object it was and threw it into the sea?
And I could go on. And on. And on. People who judge Connor on ridiculous non-existent shit like tone (who didnât watch the scene between Connor and Haytham before they entered the brewery and hear his voice crack when he talks about his mother) or being boring (sorry, didnât realise running across a battlefield to take out three ships was just standard, or partaking in the battle of Chesapeake bay, or telling George Washington and Juno a polite version of the âThank you fuck youâ) or his brooding (he did not consistently throw himself time and time again into what must have been severely triggering situations or deal with people who he knew served themselves first above all others and have the Templars wiped out BEFORE THE AGE OF 30 by being locked inside his own head) or his rashness (a flaw I will accept if only we get the same biting analysis of Altair, Ezio, what will be Jacob Frye, and the Overlord of all Rashness that is Edward Kenway) are in my opinion open to have the seven hells judged out of them.Â
