I was talking with a friend yesterday and he made the mistake to open a conversation about assassin's creed. After a long talk he said

-Connor was like a wall, no feelings.

Never understood why people feel that way about him. He is such a sweetheart after all that he is been through. I always wonder how he is so gentle and understanding with his enemies after causing him so much pain. 🤎🪶

i know he's very generous with his money too, purely because (and somebody fact check me on this) native americans had no form of currency like money? so to him, i don't think he sees much value in it? other than upgrades for the aquila, on weapons or the manor.

i know he is a BIGGG SOFTIE when it comes to giving poor children money whenever he's in boston or new york. these kids would see his wanted posters and then be like;

I just had such a diabolical thought.

Haytham may hate Edward in some capacity or at the very least feels some kind of dhame about him as denoted with his conversation with Adéwalé. Saying Edward had "no sense of shame". Haytham seems to feel some kind of superiority over this.

But...Edward changed in the end. He saw the error of his selfish ways, and eventually dedicated to bettering himself for the sake of his family.

Haytham....couldn't change in the end. Not even for Connor. Not for his son. Haytham just could not for the life of him alter his course yet there's so much evidence that is telling that he DOES think about it. There's little nuggets of weakness that show a man who does want to be a father. Even acts like it at times when he doesn't have the fucking right to. It's a role he subconsciously wants to fill for Connor.

But in the end he couldn't change. Not like Edward did.

And I think there's something so potently tragic about that. I think Edward WOULD be ashamed to see Haytham the way he turned out but ESPECIALLY because he refused to alter his ways for the sake of his family.

So I would like to propose a concept:

Connor, watching from afar: oh no, my father who I wish died in front of me

Summary:

Following the aftermath of the revolution, Ratonhnhaké:ton is tossed in the midst of another war. One that might be his entire undoing, or a chance to rebuilt his spirit again. Now, he runs in a new and unknown battlefield that will put his body and his heart -or what’s left of it- to the test.

(Or aka, the fic I wrote because I needed to know how Connor met his wife and fell in love like he deserves and we didn't get to see in canon )

He eats a LOT. I mean look at him. All these muscles need proper food. I imagine Corinne making him the best food when he arrives back at the Homestead after a long time and she insists that he eats as much as he wants no matter what time it is.

He's probably always hungry.
